Ep 26 Finale

Kaiki was definitely a surprise choice to narrate and lead this arc and at first, I was unsure if it would work out well.

Now with the conclusion, I can say that it worked out great. Such a great character, to see the two faces of the same coin, the first being in Nisemonogatari and now in Hitagi End.

9.5 out of 10 (MAL round up to a 10)

Kaiki also became one of my favorites this season. Don't forget Hanamonogatari and Kizumonogatari movie though! I wonder if CR will stream the movie here....

It's possible with the Wake Up, Girls deal.

I just watched the whole series, Nekomonogatari, Bakemonogatari (plus the three web episodes), Nisemonogatari, and Monogatari season 2 over the course of this last week.

My mind is totally blown. It's the most ridiculously dialogue heavy series I've ever watched, but it was still so freaking amazing. Even though it's totally different in so many ways, it still evoked the same sort of feeling I got after watching Haruhi Suzumiya. The way they start the story in Bakemonogatari after some of the biggest events had happened, fix minor issues, go for some fanservice, and then have those minor issues come back to haunt you later on as huge threats. And the way characters are written, like Kaiki...holy shit. You never know what's going to happen.

I can't wait for Hanamonogatari to end of the next month. I want to see more! Dammit...Shaft is amazing. This is like the only discussion thread I could find about the series, and I don't want to start a new one. I'm sure Hanamonogatari will get one made at some point, but I just needed to vent my reactions to this ridiculously good show somewhere.

yep, the Monogatari series is ridiculously awesome. I've no idea why I put this show on hold for literally 4 years, but I eventually marathoned it all before the start of 2nd season. it immediately tied itself for my favorite anime of all time.

Just you wait until final season! Owarimonogatari is ... simply unbelievably mind blowing. I think there's one more book to go so I hope they can animate it next year. It is going to be so amazingly good! Ohhh, can't wait!

Until then... Hanamonogatari and hopefully Kizumonogatari will tide us over. Kizu for Shaft's fall movie 2014 please!!! Please!!! Or summer would be even better...

All bask in the awesomeness of monogatari.

They really need to get Kizu out. Shinobu and Koyomi's interactions throughout all the series make more sense with the context from Kizu. Publication order-wise, it should have come out before Nise. Not that Shinobu isn't still my favorite even without that context.

Yeah I'm pretty excited for the movie as well. Though I also really enjoy how everything has fit together while only mentioned the events of the prequel in passing. Sort of has added a unique air of mystery to the whole experience on top of giving me something more to look forward to.

I'm not going to get into the light novels, but it seems like there's going to be a lot of ground to cover in the future. I'm excited to see it, hopefully the anime will go to completion in the coming years.

I can't believe I was on the fence about starting up this series for the last couple of years. I even watched the first couple minutes of Bakemonogatari at one point and dropped it
