What would you do if you encountered Kuroki Tomoko, from the anime "No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!"?
Would you try to be her friend and help her out?
Would you ignore her as "uncool?"
Or would you just hide?

If someone like her existed in real life, I probably wouldn't really notice her since she seems to be the type to rarely talk or start conversations, so I doubt I'd ever get a chance to really get to know her since I'm not one to try to start conversations with people that generally seem to keep to themselves.

However, if for some bizaare reason, God created a real life Kuroki Tomoko with the EXACT same personality as the one in the anime, and it was told to me that it's really her from the anime, then I might approach her, lol, and try to be her friend, but nothing more than a friend though, lol.

Well, the first time I saw her character, the first thing I noticed were those sleep-deprived eyes. If I came across her in real life and saw that, I would probably think she was under some kind of stress, which isn't uncommon for Japanese highschoolers.

Being rather quiet myself, I most likely wouldn't bother approaching her, as that would make me almost as anxious as it would her, but I certainly would be wondering why she seems tired and lonely all the time. I'm not sure if it would advance farther than that, to be honest.

I would probably hide if I knew it was her. I don't want to witness her embarrass herself anymore.

I think she'd be pretty cool once she opened up to you, I'd befriend her, build her confidence, and then hopefully become good friends.

Hmm......tough decision on which to vote for.

If I was going to be myself, I'd just keep to myself and respect her space and her will. Though I will admit that if I saw her in real-life I'd be thinking "Dude; that's f***ing awesome! It's Tomoko!"

Besides, there's no way I could talk to her, since I can't speak Japanese. If she feels that her verbal communication skills are crappy, she should know that I wouldn't be able to hold conversational Japanese to save my life. I may say something that might get misinterpreted, too; I wouldn't want that to happen.

Back in primary school I used to go around making friends with people and then making those friends become friends with the other friends. This was a successful strategy in primary school and I tried it again in university with great success. Knowing me I'd do it all over again with Tomoko even if I'm just as awkward as she is.

She's alright. Shy, anxious, and neurotic, but still a good person deep down. She means well, and she tries. I could get along with her.

I would definitely try to be friends with her. After all, she's all about being popular and certainly any help would be quite appreciated. Of course, by the end of the show it's not exactly what she was supposed to be doing all along. In any case, she just needs to realize that everything would be better if she had more friends.

I think I would be pissed by someone like her. Honestly would ignore her, I can't befriend someone who is socially anxious. But it's understandable since she's a teenager in high school. I don't get along with most kids anyway.

It doesn't matter if a person is cool or uncool, if they don't show enthusiasm or make an effort, I would just ignore them. I'm not the type of person who puts in more effort than the other person when it comes to socializing. I'm already introverted and apathetic myself.
