Yes, I'd have nothing to lose then. I'd enjoy watching humanity progress and being a part of that.

Sure, why not. As long as this means that I will constantly be in a healthy and youthful state so I can enjoy the immortality.

Immortal but not invulnerable, though. Need the option of having an escape button.

If immortal means that I'll survive any crazy, deadly stuff I'll do by regenerating or reviving or something, then sure. I'd get a kick out of using my immortality to prank people.

If I could choose to, I'd be immortal, but choose to be able to die only one way, and I would make it something bizarre, like "getting electrocuted to death in a river by a green table lamp." That way, I could be immortal until I was ready to go.

Well, there's no objective way of telling if I'll like it or dislike immortality. I could use logical reasonings like immortality is a curse because I'll see loved ones die over and over and inability to die...

But in the end, if I were born immortal, I would see things from an immortal's point of view, rather than a human's point of view.

Like what if 100 years of living is actually a curse too? What if humans were born with a 20 days lifespan like a fly? Would that be more meaningful than 100 years?

It's too relative, and not objective enough. People can make movies dismissing the beauty of immortality, but they can't criticise it objectively unless they're immortals themselves.

In other words, I have no qualms about living as an immortal. It would be amazing to see life come and go, recreate itself, the universe dying and rebirth all over and over for all eternity.

This.

If we're talking true immortality (like in Rin Daughters of Mnemosyne), I'd still say yes. One could do interesting things with that kind of power.

The question becomes who wouldn't want to be Immortal. I feel that I would rather be one of the undying then have death take me.
