Yes, the mere fact that you know about the word "evil" and have an attached, abstract meaning and/or conceptualization of it means that it exists, at least in your mind. Evil exists outside of the mind subjectively; it depends on how people define it.

The only time evil probably does not exist is when a person does not know what the word means or when that person has not experienced evil or something similar. A baby, toddler, or young child don't know what evil is and so evil, per se, does not exist to them. Evil might be known as other words (e.g. mean, rude, bad, wrong, etc.) though, but is that really evil? I suppose it really depends on how those young humans eventually define evil if ever.

Everything exist subjectively. But nothing exist objectively. peace over war.

Evil is everywhere. Inside of us. On T.V. In books we read. In the food we eat. In the clothes we wear.
Evil is the temptation of how things, mostly too good to be true things, appear to us.

what the title says
Does Evil exist?
“Evil is nothing but a word, an objectification where no objectification is necessary. Cast aside this notion of some external agency as the source of inconceivable inhumanity - the sad truth is our possession of an innate proclivity towards indifference, towards deliberate denial of mercy, towards disengaging all that is moral within us.
But if that is too dire , let's call it evil. And paint it with fire and venom.”
― Steven Erikson,

Everything can be said to be just a word. Cookie is just a word, love is just a word, humankind is just a word, etc, etc infinitely. Evil isn't defined as an "outside agency" causing people to act in a way (that is called region's satan). Evil is the word which his next to last sentence is defining. Most idiotic quote ever. At least it was well-written though.

Evil does Exist but it only Exist within humans (when we see evil, evil is born, if we do not see evil it is not there) see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, then it does not exist.

But here one must distinguish between two types of evils: physical and moral. Moral evils require a rational agent like a man or a devil. Physical evil refers to misfortunes and imperfections. A bad coat is one which is not warm enough for example. A hurricane is really a fine thing unless it wrecks your house.

Then with temptation, one must remember than we are tempted by things good in themselves. The reason we call them temptations lies in that it is wrong for us to have them in a particular way. Women are beautiful, but I cannot make love to another man's wife. Food is good, but I cannot keep stuffing myself until the food makes me sick.

Evil is just a word to describe something very bad. Very bad things certainly exist.

evil exists only from another person's point of view. Everyone thinks some material (morals or values) are considered evil and some do not. no one can be entirely evil or entirely good

Evil does not exist. Evil is just [like?] darkness or the lack of love and light.

Read the Book of Job or The Brothers Karamazov for a good answer. Examine history itself. The problem of evil and its variations are nothing new.

Evil and good are just measurements. Thus, one cannot exist without the other.

Evil is a perception.

not really... I mean if you think about it, no one is really completely immoral. so people doing things which are obviously "evil" might be doing the right thing in their eyes. No one is the villain in their story. i guess evil people just think in a more "the ends justify the means" kind of way. perfect example: death note. who was the good guy and who was the bad guy? the author leaves it up to you. if you think that as long as you have a happy ending, you can do whatever it takes then light is the good guy. if you think that no matter what your justification is, you shouldn't commit immoral acts, L is the good guy. and so in summary, there really is no evil in my opinion, just different views.
