Personally I think he's a useless character, and his ideas are kinda common sense. Just wanna see how many people like or dislike him.

A timely death would do his character justice and make the series infinitively better. What a shame that won't happen on anime or manga

If were talking about AOT Armin he is more suited to being an officer commanding the front-lines from relative safety like Cmdr. Pixis. What he lacks in physical strength he makes up for in intelligence, strategic know how and the will to keep his comrades alive.

you all dont see the way he balances the other characters strengths?
without armin its just eren smashing everything while his GF snipes the leftovers
armin makes the trio come together as a functioning unit and work very effectively together

Thats why Armin shouldn't be a front-line soldier he is better suited to command he uses his wits rather then brute force, if they were to all grouped into the same unit Jean and Armin would be the only chose as officers for the units longevity.

at first I thought he was just one of those useless whinny characters who always need to be saved...and in a way I think he will always be one of those characters who need to be saved when out on the battle field, but he is very useful I think strategically and though I voted I liked him, I think he still has room to develop into a very acceptable and appreciated character.

He's able to calmly think up strategies and find a solution while everyone else is under pressure. Plus, he's pretty much more intelligent than his peers. He's just one of those characters who's not physically strong, but is smart. Hardly useless.

Armin from AoT right? I don't care for him tbh. Its not like he's a bad character, I just don't find him interesting. I wouldn't go to the extent that the show would be better if they killed him off but I probably wouldn't care. Haven't read the manga though so this is based on what I've seen in the anime only

I haven't read the manga, but in the anime, I really don't like him. He's useful for his ideas and ability to temper the others, and I know hes realistic because we'd all be freaking out in his situation, but I don't like whiny characters, or characters always crying. My roommate and I see him and are like "oh god don't start crying AGAIN please..." Death I think would suit him. I'm hoping he grows on me maybe. Or dies soon.

i really like armin sorta inderfferently, if that makes sense? i do hope he gets braver, though, as he kinda holds himself back even though you could tell he has potential

I can't help but like Armin, since I can relate to him more than any other AoT character. He has a clear role in the group dynamic, and has proven himself useful. Just because he has trouble dealing with the emotional backlash of the situation doesn't mean he's crippled by his reactions. I see him as quite similar to Baccano's Jacuzzi Splot (another favorite of mine): he gets upset and cries, and does what he can to resolve the situation despite that. I find that much more admirable and interesting than the 'above it all' aura that more experienced and cynical characters tend to emit.

I feel as though he maintains the balance between the two characters I love the most, Mikasa and Eren. I personally feel Armin will become a far greater force to reckon with once he finds his footing.
