I just ordered Starcraft on Amazon and it should arrive in two business days! I can't wait to open my package and install it on my laptop. Really looking forward to learning all them complex "moves" and possibly going professional. (lol) So ladies (and gentlemen) how was your first Starcraft experience like?

Edit: I have two Starcraft II guest passes up and ready for anyone who wants to try out the game. PM me for the code. I will delete this edit as soon as I give away both codes. First come first serve, I am not giving both codes to the same person. Also Starcraft Guest Passes give you 7 hours or 14 days of Starcraft game time.

My League of Legends phase is over, which means it is time to play a new game! My cousin just bought Starcraft 2 and I was curious as to whether or not it is worth the $60. I am a fairly stingy with my money and, if I do buy Starcraft, I want to make sure I am getting my moneys worth. If you are oppose Starcraft, feel free to recommend me another game!

If you plan on playing games with your cousin, it doesn't really matter, does it? Team play is awesome. I think you could get more value for $60, but if you really like competitive RTS, there really isn't any other choice. That's all we have unless you want to join some classic leagues.

For noncompetitive cooperative RTS, the best I could recommend would be AI War. Quite a community over there.

I'd say it is, not only do you buy SC2 itself, but you pretty much buy hundreds (possibly even thousands) of the user made mini games it provides

If u like RTS games, SC2 os certainly a good call, i play a little, u can watch the current challenger league of WCS SC2 on http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en see the schedule, by this days they have a live everyday, its a little complicated, but with a little time and gameplay its fun and really competitive.

But seriously though, if you are talking about Heart of the Swarm than yes it has been released. When I get a feel of the game I will decide on whether or not to buy it.

Need more SC2 love on the first page..

SC2 is an amazing game, but has a steep learning curve for people who don't play a lot of games, aren't familiar with rts, or generally are casual gamers. However, anyone given a little time and assistance can become proficient enough at the game to really enjoy themselves.

The multiplayer aspect of the game is certainly the most rewarding for most, but singleplayer content is imo already worth the price.

SC2 is awesome! Like others have said it is a hard game to master. You will play a few games where you will be completely outclassed before the match making system identifies your skill level. Practice a specific build and watch Day 9!

I have improved slightly over the month but I am no where close to being ready for ranked. I am looking forward to conquering the bronze tier next year, haha.
