Actually it was a simulcast that was allowed to stay up ~ but it was licensed for the the New World, Americas, Australia and New Zealand (R1&R4), not for Europe, Africa or Asia.

So the announcement is of particular interest to Latin American, Ozzie & Kiwi members, as even if this is because even if someone has licensed the series (this wouldn't be surprising for Lucky Penny from RightStuf), it might not be available streaming again outside of North America.

A freaking love Sasameki Koto. I felt that the anime ended too abruptly though.

Thanks for the post. At least I have enough time to watch all the episodes before it's too late. ^_^

The media restriction tag only shows "us ca as um pr gu vi au nz pg", nothing "south of the border" in the Americas.

Interestingly I've been reflecting on this very show this past week. It was memorable and enjoyable, a more genuine romance. A shame to see it go, but I'm happy to have seen it.

Thanks. Shockingly the Anime News Network announcement is inexact when it says "the Americas". I should have gone upstairs and looked in my spreadsheet.

Well, it was a good show, except for the lack luster ending. I will have to read the manga now, since there was no satisfaction in the anime.

Can we get badges if we watch every single episode?

I might be asking for to much.. but it would really be fun to get a badge.

Whats up guys,

Wish this post could be anything but bad news, but that's what we have for you on this particular post.
Sadly, Sasameki Koto will be going right back into our vaults due to licensing restrictions.

The series will end its broadcast on Crunchyroll on August 30th, so you should start marathoning and soaking it all in before it's gone :(

For those that are new to the series:
"Without ever saying a word to her, honor student Sumika Murasame has had a crush on her best friend, Ushio Kazama since middle school.

In their social circle are the energetic members of the brass section: Kiyori Torioi, girls fashion magazine model Masaki Akemiya, and finally Tomoe Hachisuka and Miyako Taema, a couple, all making up a collection of eclectic personalities.

One day, the idea of forming an all-girls after school comes up amongst them..."

Enjoy~!

I guess I watched this before I became a member because I can't see any signs that I watched this and I'm sure I did. Anyway, I will be sure to watch it one more time before it goes away. It's always sad to see a show taken down.
