I really believe that Crunchyroll should look into subbing anime movies. Much like the Hunter x Hunter movie its hard for people to see the movies in a legal manner and I wouldn't mind paying alittle extra a month if I had access to movies at an earlier point in time and could do it without the fear of the FBI banging on my door for downloading them from a Bittorrent web site wouldn't you?

They have streamed movies before for limited time but most of them are from Shinkai Makoto's works. I wouldn't be surprised if CR streamed Garden of Words in the future here. As regarding other movies, I wouldn't mind tbh.

I would welcome movies like Blue Exorcist, Kizumonogatari, Hunter x Hunter, and others.

So crunchyroll will not be able to stream it,. I also thought Funimation had all rights to all GiTS stuff anyway.

Sorry, looks like D-Gray Man only had 2 anime seasons, and stopped years ago. The rest of the story is manga-only at this point...

It had 103 episodes, but Funimation only has half of those licensed. It appears the series ran continously from October 2006 to September 2008, so depending on how you look at it, that would either be one season or as many as eight.

I've seen reports that the primary reason Funimation never licensed the remaining episodes wasn't due to a lack of popularity, but problems dealing with the company that handles the licensing. If true, that would mean any other company wanting to license those episodes would hit the same wall.

So I'm all about renting movies and stuff like that digitally. My only problem is when I rent digitally the movies do not usually have a Japanese with English subtitle option. I totally understand you guys have a premium service for anime. Although movies seem to be a higher standard. So instead of offering with a sub why don't you guys have a movie rental service with your subtitles? This is a great Idea I think and I'd willing to pay $3.99-$4.99 to rent a movie with great subtitles and quality like you guys do. *cough* Wolf Children *cough*

Wolf Children is already licensed by FUNimation, so if CR was able to acquire it, chances are high that they would not be able to secure rights for North America. Unfortunately, FUNi doesn't have the full movie available to stream, even for EVS members.

I'm aware that Funimation has rights to Wolf Children. Instead I guess I should have said that I would like to see hit movies like Wolf Children reach CR as they come out. Surely it takes time to secure a release like this and CR has pretty good timing releasing shows and the like a few hours after they come out. I'm not saying they would come out as fast because movies are obviously longer but more movies in general would be nice to see that's not based solely on a anime series.
