Well steriods are primarly used to enchance recovery time making it possible to train more frequently (without overtraining). But more is no point in taking steriods until you are beginning to ceiling (and even then the side effects can be pretty severe)

u should never workout if ur under 16. the weights stunt ur growth. its always advised wait till ur 16. u first do strength building for 2-3 weeks then u move on to body building. the most important thing is to drinnk lots of water and eat protien after a workout(keeps muscle mass). i ate almonds. my teacher told the class eat protien they didnt i was the only one and at the end of the year they said i bulked up.

If you do start a huge work-out regemine... please be sure to stretch properly before and after.
If you don't you'll end up with arms that are huge and won't lay down at your sides like normal people, or you won't be able to bend over and tie your shoelaces.
Stretching before and after you work-out also promotes lean muscle... Muscle that has high definition and can still move normally.
You don't want to just carb out and work out too much...
Make sure you work out your brain too.

You need to max out usually in your exercise routines. Eat alot of protein. This will help you gain that muscle mass.

since you're only 15 you still have a lot of growing to do. if i were you i would gradually take protein/eat a lot especially carbs and what not to bulk up.. once you start working out hard with both you should be seeing results. if you also wanna put on a lot of weight too try working out your legs. helped me gain about an extra 10 lbs. also working out your legs will help you boost up that natural testosterone(sp?). dont worry i was in your position before about 2-3 years ago. i still goto the gym about 4-5 times a week but since its summer...eh heh. 2 or 3 years ago back then i was seriously... 115-120 lbs at 5'8 benching like 2 25s on each side. now im about a solid 145lbs but i used to be around 155 and can bench around 205lbs but i used to do 225lbs easily..ugh i got weaker(had to cut down to lose body fat which i think is at least below 10%?). eh hope this helps.

from the perspective of a female, really, just don't. You're 15, and I assure you that your body won't look the same once you reach adulthood.
whyyy on earth must you build body mass by the end of this year?

If you do this every night eventually youll increase the amount you can do
also workd those arms
Ive done it for a while and get to 70 w/ out stopping

hope it helps

Hehe! that's a good way to start at my opinion! I started exactly like that about 1,5 year ago! and now I got 20 push-ups at mornings, 40 at afternoons and 30 at evenings! And also do chin-ups and everything that I can come up with

Push yourself, before I was only doing 20 or so pushups, when infact I could be doing 50.

Of course if you can't do 20, start low and add on another 5 or 10 the week after.

Get some dumbbells that let you change the weight, that way you can always add on or take off the weights, as opposed to being stuck with the same 20-pound when you can lift 50-pounds.

Well i`m putting one other suggestion in. Since i`ve already given my training regiment. When your doing sit ups take a flat 30 to 40 pound weight on your chest. Then hold it tight to your chest. Then proceed with the push ups. This will increase the bodies ability to resist a certain amount of force. Due to the extra weight.

Mass push-ups dont gain mass they tone the muscles. the 20 - 25 dumbbells are the basic motions. Even a beginner knows that. Over arm arm retractions and other such things. Squats tone the abs not bulk them. 300 sit ups is normal for our age. Ask a trainer if you can use incline , decline , and center based bench pressing. Also use the curling bar with 30 pounds on each side. This will definitely increase bicep concentration and triceps.

Sorry if that came out out as scathing wasn't my intention I was generally interested in what suggested starting point for particularly exercises. I know push-ups are for tone, I was suggesting against using them, purely because he is interested in gaining mass. I find that going mass push-ups (not in a chest/triceps workout but supplementary say at home) would hinder gains during said workout. However taking in consideration that he is just starting it would probably be helpful.

As for squats, they are a catch 22 for core strength. They tone your core muscles, but without a considerable amount of core strength in the first place, you will level out rather quickly. As I posted above our OP shouldn't neglect lower body exercises, as they play a key role in increasing testosterone, which in turn will lead to more signficant upper body gains.

And I take it you misinterperated my question about the 20-25. Any beginner knows that each exercise you do will likely require a difference weight.

Finially for the 300 sit-ups I wasn't saying that is a bad idea, but instead to do a variety of different exercises to specially isolate certain abdominals at a time. Usually start at the top, work your way down, then finish your ab routine concentrating on your stabilisers.

As for benching are you an advocate of dumbell or barbell?
I`m a dumb bell user. I usually do 30 reps with a 35 pound dumb bells. Sorry if I wasent completely clear as well. I was trying to avoid putting all my regiment on here in large paragraphs. Even though I have succeeded in doing so. I take 15 minutes of body toning before hitting the weights.

eat alot of stuff like eggs, meat and other things like that. gradually work up your workout to a higher level. Take breaks in between to let your muscles heal ( they will become alot stronger and will be able to work harder. Alot of people think that if you keep working out without stopping, your gonna become like Goku or someone.) sometimes do push yourself, but not too hard. AND STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM STEROIDS!!! Not only do they slowly decompose your muscles, they also do alot of things wrong to your internal organs and even your....*ahem* .....family jewels

What ever you do; do it safely and not sporadic. But what is the point in getting "buff" when all you really need to do is maintain proper eating habits and working out routaines.
