I just figure they like the anime / character. I wouldn't buy figures myself, but if they want them why not? Their money, their call.

I'm just wondering if any of you thought it was weird to own a girl figure that was either wearing almost nothing or just a swimsuit? Especially if you are a girl who is into boys.

I see no problem. I own some of those figures as well

I actually find it more appropriate if a straight girl had those type of figures, I don't have any figures (because they are expensive lol), but I think they are pretty awesome, and as a guy I wouldn't own any of a girl in revealing or sexy clothing or pose. I rather not have people think Im a perv, haha. Not saying anyone here is a perv, but some people's dirty minds are quick to judge. In my culture young boys play with action figures and shirtless wrestlers, and its considered pretty normal. I don't see why it should be any different with female figures. Unless its some real crazy hentai stuff lol, but it wouldn't be just based on gender.

Regardless, I wouldn't judge anyone for having them.

For me there's often a difference between "sexy" and "demeaning." Sexy or scantily-clad is fine with me, but I don't like it when they're put in demeaning poses. I can't really explain the difference, I just know it when I see it, lol.

I've known several heterosexual males who've had posters of half-nude pro wrestlers all over their walls. You do your thing, girl.

I don't mind them but some of these figurines are ridiculous such as the Amanda ones from Blassreiter which feel very unnecessary, especially due to the fact that we get those figurines but not very many of characters in their Amalgam forms like Xargin's which is just plain badass. For me, I would rather have a figurine of badass looking character rather than one of sexy half-naked girl. But if that stuff appeals to you, that's fine with me.

Nah.. collect what you like, I always say. Might lead to meeting other people who like the same stuff.

I don't find it weird at all. I think it's charming. Not to mention they must be great conversation starters.

I certainly don't care/mind what people do in there own homes but i think it can be somewhat awkward.
Its like the Black/white posters of male/female almost nude body's that were popular when i grew up.
Seeing the half naked male body on the wall in the room of one of my female friends didn't bother me at all but i do believe it would have been someone awkward if i would have seen the same picture on the wall of one of my male friends lol

Alright so everyone seems to find it okay when it's a girl, how come it's shunned upon when it's a guy?
For example i'm saving up for my first figure. Thoughts?

My reason being this particular series opened up my view to anime and i would like to own something from this series that impacted said view.

If I met a cool girl who watches anime and collects figures, I would friend immediately and we can talk about nerdy stuff.
