Just wondering what states do most of you come from and if you like it there or not? This also goes for Canada (what provinces and territories)

Also what are some misconceptions?

I live in Iowa, I kind of like it here, but there really isn't that much to do, and the scenery is pretty boring (All soy bean and corn fields with some wind farms)

Everyone from other states think I live in a farm, but most people live in small cities here. I live in a small city called Des Moines that has a metro population of about 580,000+.

I live in New York, more specifically Brooklyn.
I don't like it, I actually am moving out soon. It's a bitter sweet relationship- I love it but I don't.

It's pretty crowded, expensive as fuuuuuu, dirty, the people are rude and ignorant, and it's near impossible to find a good job and pay for a nice house. Houses here to own are around $700,000+, and a 2 bedroom apartment in a decent neighborhood can run you anywhere from$2-3,000 dollars a month.

Figures. Most people use public transit, and if you DO have a car it'll take you forever to find a parking space.

Everyone thinks it's glamorous and nice, and everyone wants to move here but they don't realize the things that come with it. It kinda blows. The good thing is it teaches you how to work hard and the people I've met in Brooklyn are a lot different than anywhere else (I've moved around a lot) and it's refreshing to meet honest people.

Like I said. It's bitter sweet.

Idaho! I live in a tourist town called McCall. Scenery is gorgeous year round, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to do, but on a lazy day there isnt much to do besides hit up crunchyroll for some new episodes.
I like it though, my town has a population of about 3,000 people.

A small city?!!!
jeez
I live in a Alaska and the population is only around 800,000 for the whole state.
I live in wasilla but its like inbetween two cities palmer and wasilla
Probably around 80,000 people in my general area.
Some common misconceptions are
"oh wow you have internet?" or "oh you live in an igloo" Yea like i live in an igloo with a 42 inch t.v. .......
OR "hey do you ride polar bears to school, or moose?"
what do they teach you kids down in the lower 48 states. I mean come on

Georgia, and I dislike it. I don't have much to say about it, just that I never enjoyed living here.

New Mexico and it's alright. The only problem I have is that it's too hot and dry!

I live in California. (Southern California near the beach).

I don't mind it here, but it's not my ideal. I would rather live in a state with actual seasons. It's like summer all-year round here. Granted, it rains on occasion, but never snows. I have never once in my life witnessed snow fall to the ground lol.

Don't get me wrong, we have seasons here (the leaves fall in autumn, flowers bloom in spring, etc).but everything sort of blends into one never-ending summer. I guess if you're an outdoorsy type, then that's paradise, but i'm more of an indoorsy, pensive type.

Whoop whoop another Iowa person, I go to college at Drake in Des Moines but I live in Southern Iowa. :/ And Iowa doesn't look like "The Crazies" all over and not everyone owns a farm.

Long Island: I really can't complain, my only concern is whether I'll be able to afford to live here.
