Raleigh, NC. I'm a fan. Laid back, good food, plenty to do, generally good people. Terrible lower education system, and a few other social issues.

Winters are perfect to me, average of probably around 45-50F. Summers are generally pretty nice outside of a few weeks of 100F at peak.

Its a bit spread out and still fairly rural, but I like seeing trees everywhere. 3-4 hours from the mountains, and 2 hours from the beach.

Fairly inexpensive place to live, although taxes are higher than most other states in the southeast.

I've been all over the US and NC is a good balance. Also generally a democrat state, minus the last couple years, ugh!

I am currently living in Ohio and I do not really like it here. I live in a little town and there is really nothing around. People are just in their homes with 1 or 2 local bars, but always attract the bad kind of crowd. I am from New York City, so the culture is beyond different. I love night because it is calm and quiet, but I miss having a night life. I moved here because I got married and just decided to move here for cheaper rent and better jobs. I am currently in school and I seriously hope to move back to New York. I miss everything there. I am in love with Winter and I do not like it here at all. We have to drive everywhere!

That is my rant

I live in Southern California. The weather is beautiful for all but maybe 25 days a year, the mountains and dessert are only an hour away if that and the people are friendly. There is really only one thing I don't like about living here... it is very expensive. This is another night of eating either a hot pocket or cupnoodles for dinner hehe

New Jersey, by Atlantic City. I don't like it here - there are too many people, and none of them know how to drive. How things will go at an intersection is a guessing game because people don't follow the rules; just the other day I ended up playing chicken with a left-turning truck that didn't want to honor my right of way...

And don't get me started on the jughandles - they are pure madness. I got by just fine without them growing up in (upstate) New York, and I really don't see the advantage to them. I hate having to watch the right side of the road for the turn while also needing to watch the left side of the road to know if I'm near where I would want to make a turn.

The trees here are also screwed up pine trees that try to look like deciduous trees or something... at any rate, I miss the change in foliage as the seasons go by. Speaking of the seasons, it's been way too hot the past few years... and I don't enjoy the hurricanes either. This area is also rather flat, and I find myself missing the hills and mountains. There's just nothing to see here, compared to the views back home.

There are probably things to do here, though the main entertainment seems to be the casinos, which I wouldn't waste my money on... but I hate dealing with the people and the traffic enough that anymore I mostly I stay inside except for work. I've really got to get out of this place, it'd be nice to move closer to my family and friends.

I live near the coast in the Virginia. The weather here is so unstable and where I live is so boring. There are some good people but there are mostly ghetto people in school. I grew up in Spain and Italy and that was the best part of my life, great weather and people. I tend to stay with friends I've known since elementary and throughout middle school because of our common interests. But they are only a few.

I live in New Orleans, La. It's pretty nice except for the occasional hurricanes and the state's backwards politics.

South Florida... sun and rain.. no changing of leaves, none of that cold snow you Northern get. Just beaches, booze and bikinis.

Missouri. Best state in the country IMHO. Love it here. Also one of the top states that could survive.. even thrive if separated from the rest of the United States. Its funny how Texans always talk about it but Texas doesn't even make it only the list as a state that could survive divided >.>.

Central New Jersey near Princeton. (No, I do not go to Princeton. High School Student) One problem with my area is that competition for anything here is very high and almost cut throat. Other than that, it is pretty nice with hour drives to nyc, philly and the shore. A misconception people have is that we all act like snooki from Jersey shore but rarely anyone does.
