I live in Texas, lol. I don't ride a horse, I drive a camaro. I do however wear a belt buckle, but it's not big enough to eat of off. I don't think I have an accent, but if you guy heard me talk you'd probably think I do. I live in Central Texas, so it's kinda all 4 terrains blended together, we have woods, we've got plains, and we've got desert type areas, and we've only got two seasons, planting and harvesting, and summer starts after winter. Most of us own guns, and enjoy using them, you got your lifted trucks and jeeps with loud exhaust, and you got your ranches, and if you ask for tea, people will usually ask if you want it sweet or unsweetened. You'll actually have to ask for hot tea, because we only really drink iced tea. Sometimes it snows, and sometimes it snows on Christmas or Thanksgiving, and sometimes it won't rain for months, and sometimes it floods. You can also be 70 degrees and breezy and the next it'll be 40 degrees and raining. If you need jumper cables, ask the dudes with a muddly lifted truck or jeep, they usually have them. Bottom line, it's home and you can take me out of Texas but you can't take Texas out of me.

A small city?!!!
jeez
I live in a Alaska and the population is only around 800,000 for the whole state.
I live in wasilla but its like inbetween two cities palmer and wasilla
Probably around 80,000 people in my general area.
Some common misconceptions are
"oh wow you have internet?" or "oh you live in an igloo" Yea like i live in an igloo with a 42 inch t.v. .......
OR "hey do you ride polar bears to school, or moose?"
what do they teach you kids down in the lower 48 states. I mean come on

made me lol. thats close to what i perceived Alaskan life too be like hhaha. nobody talks about alaska here in the states (atleast where i'm from) . unless it had to do with sarah palin or w.e her name is.

I'm from the smallest state on the East Coast.
it's nice here, I like the changing, unpredictable weather. lol. Nothing like sunshine and snow coming down at you simultaneously.
I live in a pretty tourist-sy town super close to the beach so i guess that's nice as well. Town life here is great but boring and city life is like a city anywhere really, there are slum areas and nice areas and most everyone goes about their way in a busy like manner.

misconceptions...i guess that we're all snobs/unfriendly up here. I think that pertains more to newyorkers/bostonians than anywhere else really?

Are you rich or something? cause...the new york you're envisioning is probably not realistic...most metropolitan area in new york are overcrowded and dirty..(unless you move to western/northern end)i'd say, if you move to new york , you best have a lot of money with you.

Kansas. I've only lived in one city so I can't say I dislike all of Kansas, but I don't get along well with others my age where I live, so it's not that enjoyable.

I live in Wisconsin, and for the most part I like it here. It's mostly farm land by me, but I live in a small town, maybe, around 1,800 people. Since I've spent most of my life here,(18 years) and I've been pretty used to it. The other 6 years I've lived in Maryland. The only thing that it's lacking is the Filipino stores. I love my Polvoron, and Puto (steamed rice cake).

I live in Oregon since I go to college here. I like it since I am already used to the weather here in the northwest ( raised in Washington). This is probably my ideal climate, I don't mind clouds and rain all that much.
