I saw a few other fellow Virginians in this thread - I am near Richmond, so pretty much dead center.
I love living here and wouldn't think of moving elsewhere (except for maybe Hatteras, NC). This state is absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of other reasons I enjoy it here, but don't feel like listing all the political and economic stuff tonight. Besides, that is boring.

We have southern hospitality, the beach and mountains and a little city life for those that like it louder or crowded, we are close to the Nation's capital - heck, we used to BE the Nation's capital and we have tons of history everywhere. I don't think we are the state with the most parks, but darn if we don't try our best to have one near every neighborhood. We have Busch Gardens, Water Country and Kings Dominion, and we are close to Six Flags. We have some interesting weather, but mostly seasonable and we actually have all 4 seasons - so you get to see amazing color during Autumn and some snow during Winter.
What more can I add? We stand by our state motto - VA is for Lovers! And we know you will love it here.

There is nowhere that looks that good near the cities. To be honest I wished I lived in a smaller quieter town.

I just moved from Ohio to Indiana two weeks and boy oh boy, I thought I hated Ohio. It's really rural where I live. You look out any classroom window at my new school and you either see livestock or corn fields. In Ohio I lived in a very suburban area so its quite the scenery change for me :/

I love California...San Diego. The weather is lovely, but if you're trying to find a job, good luck competing with an illegal.

Rent and housing is cheap (probably because no one wants to live there), and it's easy to find a job...(if an illegal didn't already take it.).

The only jobs I know they take are the ones no one else wants to do. Do you want to stay out in the burning sun here in Central Cali and pick the grapes, oranges, etc.? All I'm saying is they're not to blame because it's impossible to get a job in the first place if you don't even have any connections with someone that can hook you up with one.

Anyways, I live in Central California (technically SoCal, but whatever lol). Though, it's out in the country, I'm a 15 minute drive away from Fresno, which is where I go to college. So I kind of got the best of both experiences, haha. I actually wouldn't mind moving somewhere south though because sometimes you just want to experience new places.

Lol, dude, just to let you know, I'm joking.
But yeah, not many jobs in SoCal, I'd say we're one of the worst when it comes to finding jobs.

Des Moines, Iowa. its ok I guess. I've lived in the desert my whole life and then I moved here for a job. WTF is this BS called humidity? Gross thing it is. Nice city though. I'm used to Phoenix AZ so seeing green things is strange to me.

I saw a lot of Iowa posts, but no one from my state of Nebraska
I love Omaha and the Sand Hills. Other than that the state is pretty boring.

South Carolina and I hate it with a passion. All the people down here are fake christians and backstabbers. Once I get my CNA license im heading to either Baltimore, Back to New York, or Michigan. And the women down here either:
A) Have like 3 kids by age 20
B) Look Squatch as hell

Side Note:Southern Hospitality is the biggest lie ever. All it is is an excuse for them to get information on you and use it to either stab you in the back or gossip about you behind your back. Proof? Go to the following towns- Easley, Woodruff, Inman, Greenwood, Greenville

I'm from Washington, (not D.C.) and I rather enjoy it with all of the scenery and forests. Kind of dislike the fact that almost everyone has a Starbucks in there hand 24/7 But I like the weather, and the community.

I live right outside Lexington, Kentucky in a large rural area in a much-too-big for Me House on a farm in which I pretty much tend Myself. Often I'll say out of frustration that I would like to live somewhere else, but I doubt I would ever be serious about it. If I did, I would probably move out of the States, and see a bit more of the World. What I've seen of it so far is breathtaking. Really loving life right now.

And gosh, I'm always so amazed at Crunchyroll's diversity. I love it. Come get'cha some of this Bluegrass, visit Me and get lucky in Kentucky!

Ohio. Close to Cleveland. Nothing too good or too bad about the place, except the people need a kick in the head and we swear like sailors. In the past I've been in Pennsylvania. Never wanna go back. Ever. Also the weather here is some freaky shit. In the middle of April we had a snowstorm that had 6 inches in a day and complete whiteout conditions. Next day it was completely gone and 70 degrees, sky completely clear.

Michigan, it's an alright place other than the use of salt for the roads during the winter slowly destroys your car and the craters we call pot holes are ridiculous.

I live in Oklahoma! It gets a bit tiring experiencing the four seasons all in a day and the tornadoes we get every spring aren't exactly my favorite, but at least I live in a big city. I've never lived anywhere else, so I can't really compare except for the short times I've spent in other states (not saying I haven't experienced a lot of states, as I've been to 45 of the 50) but yeah.. It's a bit too hot for my taste, and I prefer winter, the kind of weather that seems to happen the least here, but it's alright.
"Do you ride horses to school?", "Where do you keep your horse, is there a corral at school?", "Are there tons of roaming buffalo there?", "Do you live in tepees?", and other similar questions have been said to me, at which point I just play along saying that all of my family members are cowboys and we get into fights in saloons and with the Native Americans on a daily basis.
