He was also the character designer of the best known Gainax anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as the author of its manga adaptation (his first full-length manga work).

Oendan, Lord of Vermilion and of course the popular No More Heroes series which has been released for Wii, Playstation, and Xbox 360. His most recent efforts as the character designer for Fire Emblem Awakening have been extremely well received, and the game has enjoyed excellent reviews and sales.

Tatsuro Iwamoto is a Japanese freelance illustrator who worked as the art director for Capcom's Ace Attorney series, along with providing the in-game voice of Miles Edgeworth and Manosuke Naitō in the original Japanese versions of the games. He is said to be good at drawing "fatherly" characters, but drawing "moe" girls is his weakpoint. He worked on various games for Capcom. He also worked for the Clover Studio, an independent Japanese game development studio founded by Capcom. He will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, for autographs sessions, panels and public drawings!

You'll also have the chance to attend more programming than you could possibly fit into one weekend. You could come participate in our cosplay or maybe spend an afternoon in front of the cultural stage for great traditional arts demonstrations. Or if you want more excitement, come watch a martial arts demonstration and/or one of our j-music concerts! And of course the chance to shop among all of the amazing vendors and explore the wealth of beautiful imported products or amazing entrainment goods is a reason all on its own to come to Japan Expo!

Nice! Too bad it's so far up north. Never had a reason to go up to that area unless it was for work-related reasons. To the people who can go, I hope you have fun!

Geez, California's so big, it sometimes feels to me like it's 2 different states that just happen to be categorized as one.
