Do You Look Fat in Those Pants?
Posted 8/17/13
Self-image is important. If you think you are a tank ass, then you are one.

So, what's your answer?

Not really. I only care about self-image when I have someone I want to impress. I cared about it during university when there were a lot of guys around my age.

Nowadays, I don't care about self-image anymore.

My workplace #1 (hospital): Full of women. And men who are already married.
workplace #2 (high school): same as above.

So I don't really care about how I look because there's nobody to impress anymore. I wear grandpa pants to work nowadays. I don't even care about perfect fit pants anymore.

I suppose self-image is important but you should not be worried about it too much or be too hard on yourself with your own self image. I am sure a lot of the stuff girls or even boys criticize about themselves are hardly even too noticeable. They just worry over what other people think about them for no reason.

Self image is important. And if you think you are a tank ass, you might be one (so what?) or you might have body dysmorphic disorder, and not be a tank-ass at all. Or you might just be a bit of a worry-wart, or influenced by the presentation of people who are not the norm, in media.

I'm concerned about the insulting direction this thread might go, but if it turns into a real discussion about self-image and not a fat-hate fest, that would be a good thing.

Who cares? Most mating rituals are defined by the era/culture and all concepts of beauty are completely subjective to the individual (while being influenced by outside sources).

No, no I am not sir.
but yes I do care about how I look. Im trying to build muscle and recently its been working, but i haven't been able to go at all this month, I hopefully I can go for like the last 10 days of the month

Been working out about 10-20 days every month doing a good hard workout and went from around 5'7"- 5'8"isn ( I'm not sure exactly how tall I am
and about 140-150 in muscle gain. I want to gain another 10-20 pounds of muscle this school year
I dress normally though
and I'm very self conscious about my ribs because my spine is curved slightly so that it pulls on the left side of my rib cage making it a bit different then the right.
I really care about my self image
and I think anyone who does would exercise and stay healthy although I do have a fast metabolism
I should just stop talking

Glad someone gets my joke XD

Well if you ask me 3 years ago, I wouldn't be caught dead in those pants (it's not really for young men).
But since I no longer care, I just wear cheap $20 pants.

3 years ago, I would wear something like this to work
