About 2 weeks ago I tried making a topic of discussion concerning Daisuki and how they gave up exclusive rights to Bakemonogatari to CR and how I thought that was a great thing. Well it turned out my assumption was wrong that they had always intended to give CR rights to Bakemonogatari after a month and people came on to tell me so. So a moderator closed the thread and sent me a message saying basically 'read the rules first, questions need to go in "help, minor questions", don't do that again.'

So I wonder to myself (i have wondered this before of course) who thought of naming this place Crunchyroll in the first place, the name had to come from SOMEWHERE, so I did as the moderator told me and started a thread in Site Support/Minor Questions asking what a Crunchyroll is hoping to get answers about the name and it seems to have been removed, either moved or deleted it's largely irrelevant you're telling me I can't pose the question here.

You don't get to have it both ways. You can't first tell me I must ask questions in Site Support/Minor Questions and then delete threads when I do. It doesn't work that way. Unless you're telling me I can't ask questions AT ALL in which case 3/4ths of your website needs to close for breaking the rules.

I was a moderator of Animenation for 4 years, an anime retailer which needed to be mindful, just like Crunchyroll that they're a business and people on the forums are their customers. God knows I've made mistakes before and been called out for them, so I'm calling someone out on their mistake as well.

Hi,

Hope I can help out a bit. With your first thread about Daisuki giving up, Lorreen noted that your question had been pretty well answered, and that you should ask anime questions in the Anime Help Thread. She also noted that there was already a thread on Daisuki at http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-803599/daisuki-launch which could've been appropriate for talking about it. The Anime Help Thread isn't the Help/Support forum, which is more for site support issues and such, which is why CSGod closed your second thread that was placed in there.

If you like, I can reopen your question about what a Crunchyroll is and move it to the General forum, or you can open it there yourself as a new topic. I've included the original text in the spoiler below:

Sorry for the confusion between asking in the Anime Help Thread vs the site Help/Support area. I hope that clears up why the two threads were closed for their own reasons, though.

Thanks Makoto.

Tekrelious, I also sent you a PM with a bit more of an explanation. Hope that helps.
