No,no. It's more like the love one feels for a mouse as they take away the cheese for the mouse, believing it to be poisonous, even though it is not. Ignorant, yes, but they subconsciously go through this train of thought, effectively giving their thinking brain the feeling of hate out of the love that they actually hold.~is what this odd idea of mine holds.

I think you're overthinking it. Rather than hate being used to disguise love, it's the other way around. People who hate and do hateful things say they're doing it out of love for our souls. Haven't you ever heard, "love the sinner, hate the sin"? Essentially that means that it's justified to torture someone who you don't agree with, so long as it's in the name of abstract love.

Actually, I never have heard that saying. I don't see why a conscious decision to hate or torture someone would be out of love.

I've heard it a lot . Usually it's supported with some religious justification as to why I am the scum of the earth (and Jesus thinks so too) and I will definitely be going to hell after I die, if not sooner. However, due to me being female I don't have to worry about violence from homophobes as much as men do. But since I'm female I have to worry about violence from men in general, so it may even out...

Being an asexual male whom never goes out into society, I can't say I know too much about that. Violence usually shows how uncivilized people are.

We're NEETs ~_~

I actually consider your theory valid, on some level.

An atheist looks at a religious person and thinks, "Wow, they are going to waste their life following a religion. I want people to live freely and the best possible life they can." and looks upon the other person with pity (or love). And the religious person looks at the atheist and thinks, "They are going to burn in hell forever. I don't want to be annoying, but should i say something?".

Then they both approach each other and say,
"You're an idiot for being religious!" and "You're going to hell, queer!"

I'm not sure homophobes really care for gays though. I've seen too many hateful things to think there is some deep seeded level of love within that logic. I think it's more to do with dominating and people being expected to adhere to a social norm. I think it's a resentment.

I honestly don't even understand why Homophobes even exist. I mean it's not anyone's fault that they're gay or lesbian

Loaded question.
1. People who don't believe homosexuality is equivalent to heterosexuality must be homophobes.
2. Said people are obsessed with homosexual males and not homosexual females.

Yaoi is hot. Women are... very bushy and.... gay love involves........... very dirty sexy, (sure you're not a fag?) with 2 bushy hoes going at it. And I'm talking about real gay women. The kinda gay women I hang out with. They're simply women who like other WOMEN. Not WOMEN who like women who act like.. in their own words "dykes".

I have nothing personal against gays. I'm just saying it how I see it. Most gay women are just.. too strange. Also.. I'm not gay. No matter how much gay chicks try to convince me I am..

I love the way you edited my comment. I'm not even being sarcastic. But I think you're mistaking my comment for gay hate? It was simply my opinion on the matter. Gay love doesn't appeal to me. But I do honestly get tired of gay dudes trying to convince me I'm gay. It's insulting. Gay men trying to tell me I can't be strait. The fuck is wrong with them? So as long as they leave me be, I don't care who they're with.

Woo, you all got real intense there for a while. Lol.

My guess for why homophobes are obsessed with gay men but generally avoid lesbians is simply because they're women. The double standards are still deeply rooted within our society and are taught to most of us early on. Think about the Disney movies we watched as kids, for example. The girls portrayed in these cartoons were supposed to be our role models and the same for the male leads for the boys. In these, us girls are pretty much waiting around to be saved by a guy because they love us. We weren't necessarily being told how things are going to be but influenced to think that we (women) come second and these maybe subconscious (or conscious) thoughts are carried on to adulthood. I wouldn't say this is the deciding factor or anything like that but I feel it plays a part in the way things are today with us being ignored in general. Gay men are discussed more often simply because they are men and lesbians less often because they are women.

We could also make mention of the non-homphobic fellas liking women and so why would they argue two women together, right? Lol.

In addition to my little thought, I'd like to leave you with these fun pictures because arguing about something that doesn't really affect you seems pointless and I don't know about you but the people who are obsessed with demonizing gays have no life and too much time on their hands. We could all be doing more worthwhile things to benefit our country instead.
