It must be great being able to live believing in something so blindly.

This is an interview on Russel Brand's show where he brings on two guests who are (assuredly) strong, vocal players of the WBC.

I honestly cannot even bring myself to understand (I'm being totally serious) that men like this truly do exist. If they do, how they have any friends or even family.

I'm not exactly hateful or spiteful to them for the way they speak and live...I just can't bring myself to any kind of understanding as to how...they can truly say what they do with utter confidence. These guys actually believe that they are heroes, changing the world one step at a time! Russel Brand handles this interview like a saint, thankfully. I imagine on any other show this would have been quite ugly.

Yes they exist the small town I live in is crawling with people like that (they are not all WBC but there are all just as outspoken about the topic).

Honestly I feel bad for them. They really do think that they are doing the right thing, but they don't really understand what Christ was trying to teach. Christ taught people to love, accept and forgive other people, but people like that are only spreading hate and contempt. I wonder how they are going to feel when they die and find out that they were wrong and where actually hurting instead of helping the Lords work.

I don't calm to understand what my friends in the LGBT group are going through, but I do know that they where born that way for a reason and it isn't my place to judge them. The only thing I can do is to love and accept them for who they are, and have faith that God has a plan for all His children to return back to him and that I will see them again in Heaven.

If you don't pay any attention to them, it would be the same as if they didn't exist.

So my answer is no, they don't exist.
At least not in my world.

To be honest, mhibicke there are barely many people here to agree or disagree with your opinion. I personally stopped replying to your debate about gay animals because you completely misunderstood my point and my post by getting defensive and pointing out my point was "idiocy" in which I didn't plan on replying any further because I thought you were really rude and immature about the situation when I was saying it was my "opinion" not my fact... I also included the fact that I was FOR homosexuality. I just didn't understand why you're being so mean to people that don't see eye to eye.

My point about the animal fact was... I don't think animals sex should be compared to human sex... because if I were homophobic it wouldn't change my mind at all.. It actually makes your opinion more beastly and disturbing to me.

This is how I would argue homosexuality:
homosexuals are born homosexual.. They didn't get a choice just like straight people are born straight with no choice. And that's probably all i'd say because why do you have to bring down everyone elses opinions? You keep shoveling the word "fact" down in your posts but nobody cares because they have their own opinion. So their opinion is that they don't like that you chose your child or you paid for someones sperm to have a child or what ever... Why get so narky over it? They won't change their mind.

There's my 2 cents The point of this thread was the video Which was interesting because I've never heard of westboro before.

And yes, there really are people like this in the world. It's hard for me to fathom how they can be like that.

Homosexuals can't have kids.

They can raise kids though.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you and I were having that discussion; I threw the link in to be informative and the animal pics because I thought they were funny.
I don't remember saying anything about your "opinion" vs your "fact" - unless you're also secretly My-Little_Brony! I don't actually remember you directly expressing any opinions, so I'm not sure how I could have been responding badly to them.

Anyway, sorry that I offended you somehow. It was not my intent.

The WBC has been questioned if it can even be considered a religion anymore, because it acts more like a hate group. Not saying that other religions don't spread some forms of hate or closed mindedness, but they're pretty extreme.

As to all the people saying gays can't have babies made by them. It's a real possibility ( x, x, x )

This subject is overall frustrating to me. Seeing people play the bible card, when they're essentially picking and choosing what they follow in the bible to begin with, being cafeteria Christians (or any other religion). People saying marriage is only for procreation, when there are a lot of couples who don't have kids, or they adopt which isn't from their own genes, so what would be the "logical" point. You never see people rallying against divorce, but that's also forbidden in their convenient bible argument.

Homosexuality is found in other species, and is logically natural. I see so many hypocrites in this thread, and in life. "The bible says it's wrong" Guess what, it says a lot of things are wrong, you're probably breaking rules right and left from the bible as you sit there on your homophobic soap box, because that's honestly what it's rooted in. The choices of other's does not affect your mortal soul, if one chooses to "sin" in your book, that doesn't concern you, stop meddling in other peoples business. After all, isn't that God's job to judge, not yours?

The BIGGEST thing I have with this whole thing, is that people are basically trying to deny a group of people a basic human right. Love. It is not a privilege, but a right to an amazing experience. No one should ever be denied that.

And before someone quotes me, and says I'm just against religion or something stupid, I am not. I was born and raised a Catholic, but I see God as love. Nothing less or more. I feel like our job is to simply love one another whether gay, straight, pansexual, transexual, purple, blue, white, black - doesn't matter. Everyone needs, deserves and should receive love. Don't like what I be sayin?

The only stupid thing about your post is how you seemingly go out of your way to actually copy chrome_mist's post format like some kind of weird poser, as if it wasn't annoying enough having to read that users posts in the first place for more reasons than the format.

I'm all for the #loveallpeople thing...but to be honest even this is unrealistic. I do not love everybody. There are people in this world who are not worth the time or effort. I can't even possibly know everyone on the planet well enough to love them, or even like them. There are plenty of people I dislike who I would rather ignore than "treat them with love".

It's sort of annoying the word love is used to flippantly in this regard. Why don't we just say that we should treat everyone with respect. Hm? In my opinion, more reasonable and realistic.

I wasn't aware she made up that post format I'm fully aware of who you are and how much you flame. No worries though. I simply had a nice message, and you decided to be a jerk, without even knowing me, so speaks true to who you are. I was simply saying love one another, that doesn't imply affectionate love, or sexual love. There are different degrees of love. Love and respect people. I'll never understand why it's so hard for people to just be kind.
