Ah, school.

I love hearing all the kiddies complain about going back. But adults going back to college always seem to be happy.

I took a year off after graduating high-school to reevaluate my life and build up the mentality to return to school.
High school was an especially distressing time in my life and after graduating, I was very adamant against attending college.

Now, after my year-long hiatus where I became nothing but a lazy recluse that hardly left the house, I'm finally starting college next week. I plan to major in Business Administration, but it may change in time.

I'm a sophomore in college, with my major in Accounting. For now, I'm just working on my Gen-ed requirements, but my major is still rather undecided. Accounting seems like a good field and I'm good at numbers so it's pretty easy, but I'm not exactly into it. So I'll figure out if it's what I want to do with my life when I get a bit deeper into it.

But school is actually quite interesting. I've always had a knack for learning and studying, so school wasn't ever a challenge, even now. I guess you can say that I'm one of the weird ones, because I love school.

I'm definitely glad that I'm out of high school though. The ridicule and drama that came with it was ridiculous. I didn't like that part at all. I mostly stayed out of it and kept to myself, but it still cycled around quite a bit. You'd hear absurd rumors and things, even about yourself.
I always found it funny.

But on an unrelated note, how was everyone's summer?
(I like long posts... sorry. o.o)

Well I'm going to be a senior year in high school... And everyone is pushing for college (this and that). I don't know what I wanna do specifically

Same here... *Sigh*

I spent most of my summer in the house (as I do every year), so not looking forward to having to wake up early every day...or having a bunch of school work...

I don't feel like dealing with all of the college stuff, either...

Going into my first year of college in exactly 2 weeks! I'm kinda scared and kinda excited at the same time. Oh yah I'm majoring in Biology and eventually want to become a doctor. I knew for a while about the challenges to become a doctor academic wise but just recently I delved specifically into the numbers and honestly I'm quite frightened. Here's hoping to a great school year! Kampai!!!

I start my second quarter of College here in 3 weeks. I am really looking forward to it, for one I start work on major (Aka welding and advanced metal fabrication) and because at the end of my first quarter I got appointed the captain of my college's tennis team so I am really looking forward to that.

I am enjoying the college I am attending now more than any semester I had being on the student council of any high school I ever attended -_- much less drama and not many people have hidden agendas.

So in other words, to all the other people going back to school, good luck!

I'll have a rotten time of it when I get back in school. Going back for a post-grad year (sort of like grade 13 I guess) because I failed 4 art courses and 4 history courses. Unfortunately those are both mandatory credits for me to have to graduate. Even more pressure is put onto me as I'm the only one of my siblings to make it this far through HS; aside from a half sister. Ah well, going to Ottawa for a week and might head off Montréal afterwards, so that should clear my head a bit.

Wondering if I'll have the same feeling next year, don't know if I'm heading off to college or not. No ideas for my future, so who knows.

Really hard to get the urge of going back to school when you really don't know what you want to do.

August - September is generally the period when High School and College Students are flocking back to their studies here in the states, so I was just wondering how many of you guys/gals are returning to each respective learning environment.

*Also, whether you're a 1st Year Freshman starting at college or you are returning, what is your Major?

I would have been starting college this year, but my parents want to move to the NW. I was torn between whether or not to go, so I ended up just looking for part time work to keep me busy until we move. /:

I know college is gonna be a lot more work than highschool but I think the freedom and big boy classes will be something fresh and interesting. Also my major is chemistry.

And for everyone starting their senior year in higschool, enjoy it! My senior year went by really fast looking back but it was a ton of fun. :3

I start my 4th year of college in a few days and finally get back to doing things with my life. I moved a few weeks ago and with no job and no class I've been losing my mind. Studyin Psychology and will probably have nowhere near as much free time with my class schedule
