Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World)

I got about a third of the way through, then it got lost in the shuffle. Now I recently tried to go through it again and keep getting sidetracked. I hear it's good and want to finish it. One of these days.

We voted it the best anime of 2012 here

Personally, I think it's a masterpiece.

To LOVE-ru, because while I liked the show and thought it was funny, there just wasn't enough going on in the episodes to keep me interested. I had also moved forward and read some of the manga, so last time I went back to watch the show again, I kept flipping through episodes because I already knew what would happen... then I lost interest again.

Also, Fairy Tail. After 17 episodes of it, I lost interest. Probably because watching too many episodes in a row is overload, but most likely pure shonen action and goofy humor just wasn't my style. Hence why I'm not really into One Piece, either.

Yea, that's why I really want to watch it through when I get the time. I did the same thing with Madoka. Got like 3 episodes in, then get sidetracked with simulcasts and end up forgetting about it or feeling like its been so long that I have to start from the beginning. It was a shame too because Madoka was a great anime.

I did the same with Madoka at first and now I think it is a masterpiece too. At first I thought it would be your standard magical girl anime, 3 episodes in... then I went back and watched episode 4 and was thinking, wait a minute, something different is happening here! By the end of the series it was one of the most amazing things ever. Can't wait for the 3rd movie Rebellion and rumored second season now.

ROD the series, loved the ova, just never seem to get round to it.

Detective conan, got a heck of a long way before even being classed as within the last 5 years. Going to be a few months or even a couple years at the rate I'm going.

Shakugan no Shana season two. Can't seem to work up the motivation to watch it, even though I want to. Although I suppose it's because the whole series is a bit long for my taste.

I've grown accustomed to finishing completed series in one go. I even watched Soul Eater in one sitting. Never attempted anything longer than that though!

Cowboy Bebop. Didn't like the first episode & haven't got back around to giving it another chance. I hear it's good, though.

Hmm, this might be late, but I should interject that Love Hina is one of those instances where the manga is absolutely superior to the anime (IMO), so, if the anime is not to your liking, try the manga (currently reprinted in omnibus format here in the U.S.). It's a signature harem series, kind of a genre-setter.
