I guess you're not alone because tsunderes annoy me a lot and I feel the same way you think about tsunderes.

The tsun can be frustrating, but it's all worth it when the dere comes into play.

Sure, tsunderes are usually cold, awkward, and sometimes just plain stupid, but that makes it so much more rewarding when they finally openly express what they're feeling.

I-it's not like I want you to get it, idiot.

Nope. I mostly can't stand them either, male or female. Once in awhile one comes along with a sufficient measure of damage in their back story and progress to dere dere that I'm able to overlook the worst in the character and enjoy the positive. Taiga from Toradora would be a good example of this as would Zazie of Tegami Bachi, but as a general rule I can't stand Tsunderes and feel they ruin every scene they are in. There are even shows like Sket Dance that I just cannot sit through a full episode of because I find the tsundere too difficult to stomach.

Join the hate train, for I too, dislike tsunderes. Ever since I watched Ranma 1/2 (the first anime I ever got into, btw), I have disliked tsunderes. I don't like Kirino and I never liked Asuka. It can be a way to express emotional immaturity in a character, but usually it's just annoying.

I totally love Tsunderes. They're cute especially when they are voiced by Kugimiya Rie to which I put on a stupid look on face.

I think it depends on the character, I mean I like ayume and and chihiro from TWGOK but I found Taiga from Toradora very annoying.

I don't like most Tsunderes. Some, like Taiga from Toradora, I'm able to like or at least tolerate. But most Tsunderes tend to annoy me.

It all just depends on how well they are written. Some are written poorly (Asuka from NGE and Naru from Love Hina come to mind...) and others are written great (Rin from Fate Stay Night and Taiga from Toradora.) Those are just on the top of my head. Personally, I like tsundere characters. Especially the ones that have more character than just being tsundere and which grow as people through the series. They just have trouble expressing themselves because of what ever situations made them that way towards people. Personally, I have a bigger problem with dandere's because they are borderline doormats that can't speak their mind, and yandere's because they are horrifying... <.<'
