Personal future body modifications:
getting my lobes scalpeled to 3"
getting my lip scalpeled to 1"
nostrils dermal punched to 00g
full blackout sleeve right arm
knee to groin left leg blackout
ankle to knee right leg blackout.
geometric designs on my face in white ink.
scarification on both my arms to give the blackout some pop.

As for scarification I want Brian Decker to do it. I wouldn't recommend white ink since it'll fade away fairly quickly in a few years, but if subtle is what you're going for, then I think you've got it lol

i just got this

i dont have any pics of my half sleeve but its traditional chinese of a bonsai tree with a happy dragon.
ive got a few more ideas for tats, one of which involves words up and down my spine and possibly the rebel symbol from starwars.
as far as piercings, i currently have 5 with only 1 in each ear but piercings come and go. theres never less than one in each ear and my tongue. i feel so nekkid without the thing in my tongue.

I don't mind having to touch up my face haha.
i'm also not the type of person who's color fade from their tattoos. I got my sleeve done 4 years ago and it's been the same amount of black since the day I got it.

and good choice on brian decker.
that guy is pretty much the best dude in the north east. He reconstructed pauly unstoppable's ears for christ sakes haha

and white ink is fine
my half sleeve has some white ink in it and it shows up just fine after almost a decade of little or no care and lots of sun

I definitely feel you with feeling wierd without having jewelry in. none of my stuff ever closes, but i have to take them out sometimes to do various things, and it just feels soo... awkward.

Personally, I wouldn't say any of them are for me. I maybe want a small, inconspicuous tattoo someday, but I have to put a lot of thought into that first, and I've had my ears pierced in the past but allowed them to close up because jewellery was a hassle at the time. However, I personally believe in letting people do with their own appearance whatever makes them happiest, so while I don't want them, I think my opinion is kinda insignificant for other people. I've actually been commissioned to design 2 tattoos- one I'm working on right now- so they benefit me regardless.

Also, I have seen some really, really impressive tattoos before. Body modification in general can be a really interesting art form.

See, this is a good constructive opinion that gets your point across with out antagonizing the other party lol. Congratulations on being a sane and considerate human being haha.

Any chance you would be willing to post the work you've come up with?

I'd like to, but the first was a private commission (and breaking a client's trust would be poor form), and the second is still in the 'rough thumbnails so I can work out what the client likes best' stage- part of it is a pin-up girl, but my client cited this sketch of mine as what made her ask me to do it, so I'm trying to find the perfect balance of powerful and sexy for her.
Most of my work is of the illustration/ sequential art/ speedy stupid fanart variety, so those two are pretty much all I've got that are tattoo related. I really have a lot more to learn about what is and isn't good with tattoo design, but I'm glad I'm getting to learn in such a practical way.

Body modifications? Errr... no don't like. Tats? Depends where they are at and what they look like. Piercings? Love them! But too much is blech to me.

i love tattoos i have four so far (though for reference if you notice the squad symbol looks a little jacked up thats not that artist fault i lost a lot of weight between getting it till now so it looks a little misshapen then what it use to oops :p ) my husband has far more then i do :p so the way i see it the more the better
as for piercings i have some but i can't post a picture cause i will get banned :p they are nipple piercings regular gauge.
now gauging piercing i have personally never understood but its every ones right to do whatever they want with their own body so whatever floats your boat

Tattoos- are kinda iffy, If its in a nice place and is well done then it looks really nice, at the same time a bad tattoo or one that doesn't seem to match a person can just look dumb. Don't get me wrong, I like them and find it really attractive on women, but some can just as easily be a turn off.

Piercings- I don't like gages, dimple piercings, eyebrow piercings, corsets, or those really weird ones on the chest or arm (those ones just make me feel like it would get ripped out. ) any other area or type is fair game and I find some very attractive.

Piercings and tattoos add more character to society and make some people more interesting, however, I would never get a piercing other than ears (not gauges, though) and maybe belly button and I would not get a tattoo unless the artwork means a lot to me, is small, and in a good place.

Why won't I? For these reasons:
1. Some of the people I interact with are not the types to get tattoo sleeves or gauges (even if unintentionally, they may treat you differently or find you unattractive, no one is unbiased in every way)
2. A certain profession that I wish to go into most likely will not approve of people with visible tattoos or facial piercings
3. I personally do not find body modification attractive.

Would I ever date someone with tattoos, corset piercings, or anything of the sort?
Most likely not, as I do not find it attractive.

I still love my guy friends with body mods and what not, though.

(continued)
4. A lot of piercings are not too functional. I hear my friends complaining about their nose studs getting snagged on towel or their latest belly-button piercing infection. I have also seen too many movies where someone's nipple ring gets ripped out and I've been to too many summer cheer camp where a girl forgets to tape her new piercing down and it gets attached to the flyer as she dismounts (ouch).
