I recently finished Soul Eater, and despite the rushed ending, it was pretty good. I've read some volumes of the Manga and it's really good. I'd like to finish it so I can read the Soul Eater NOT! spinoff series.

I like a lot of moe stuff, myself.

Even though there are so many volumes, I would recommend the Bleach manga as well.

What genres are you interested in? What did you like that you've watched already?

I recently finished Oreimo -- which was just fantastic -- even if the ending was quite unsatisfying. You can't help but be drawn into the story, which has a lot of drama and emotional twists and turns.

[Correction here] I am currently watching Hanasaku Iroha, and so far I am really enjoying the story. This is not a typical show about teens set around a school environment. This story is about a girl who is all but abandoned by her mother and sent to live with her grandmother who runs a hot springs resort in the mountains. When she arrives she is treated quite harshly and made to work for her room and board. The story is about how she manages to survive the abuse and keep her spirit from being crushed.

Mysterious Girlfriend X was also a show I really liked. It is a story about a high school guy who meets a new girl at school who has no interest in anyone. He notices that she sleeps at her desk over lunch and ends up tasting the drool she leaves behind. ((Yeah, this is kind of hard to take). Once this happens, he is somehow mysteriously tuned in to her feelings. This show is a bit different, but I really did enjoy it.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou was also deliciously interesting. It is a story about a high school guy who ends up staying in a residence hall for artists and problem students. He ends up being "in charge" of a girl who is a brilliant artist but completely clueless about taking care of herself. I found the series really drew me in and stuck with me to the end.

I have written reviews for a bunch of other animes similar to these, please check my reviews on my webpage if you are interested.

SteinsGate- If you like time travel stuff. (It's a bit slow till the half-way mark)

Kara no Kyoukai- It is a TypeMoon movie series with great animation, ton of gore, great action, and incredibly hard to understand dialogue. If you can stand all the big words it is quite enjoyable.

Black Lagoon- Great action anime....... and well........ it has great action.

Texohynolyze- A very deep an intellectual anime with some decent action sprinkled here and there.... just don't hope for a happy ending, or watch near any sharp objects.

I NEED the first season. I noticed Oreimo 2 was on CR, though.

Also, for the OP: If you like romance and mechs, Eureka 7 (not that AO crap). Eureka 7 all the way.

Also, for some feels if you're into heartfelt drama: Anohana and I just recently finished Kokoro Connect (I love the last one >_< So. Much.)

What I would sugges is, if you need additional recommendations now or in the future, that you ask in the recommendation threads that were created specifically for this purpose:

Anime: /forumtopic-7173/recommend-me-an-anime-read-first-post
Manga: /forumtopic-809927/recommend-me-a-manga-read-first-post

The anime that I always suggest when folks haven't given me a clue as to what they would like is Gankutsuou
