I prefer the dub of Bebop, but that isn't saying much.

While I'm rather uncaring, I can't watch Original Gundam, any UC universe Gundam WITHOUT the Japanese. Char's voice doesn't work that way in english, it's not good enough, same with Bright and Judau and Haman Karn and...yeaaa.

While for english, the majority of Western-themed Anime or Theme-neutral.

Like Baccano, that show just SHOUTS american. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is english only.

Then we have Berserk, The Slayers, and GTO. Comedy often works best in your own language, you won't miss the subtle hints or tone of voices as much. I've gotten enough Exp in my Language stat to understand Japanese jokes and tones, but it's just not the same.

And well, Berserk is better when everybody says Guts and Griffith. In Japanese your primary characters say Guts and Griffith but the side characters mess up and shout Gatts and Griffathsu all the time.

I once had a 30 minute conversation with someone who'd only seen the Japanese version of Berserk and always referred to him as Gatts, and I kept sayin Guts.

We didn't realise we were talking about the same show for nearly a week. He was ahead in the manga and I had just finished the Anime, so were were different enough in plot to not get it.

I read the manga after no problem, but IT'S GUTS NOT GATTS.

I can watch Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, and Cowboy Bebop in either. They did so well with SAC.

I usually watch exclusively subbed. The only animes I consistently watch the dub of are DBZ and YYH. Aside from that, I pretty much never watch english dubbed anime.

I only watch anime subbed now,but there are a few exceptions.Like Elfen Lied, one of my favorite anime,if I was to watch it subbed it wouldn't have the same nostalgic feel it had to when I watched it for the first time. So I watch it dubbed.

I've gotten lazy in my old age and have no interest in processing the Japanese I hear with the subtitles since things are said in a different order in each language. Not to mention having to quickly read the translations for Kanji and such while still reading what the characters are saying.

If there's a choice, I'll take the dub version every time.

Yes, I can't watch the subbed version of Baka and Test and School Rumble. I just love the dubbed versions of them too much.

I like to watch both usually though I can't bring myself to watch the Dubbed Naruto or Kenshin. Just horrifyingly bad.
