Hello, this is my first time posting on Crunchyroll if I remember correctly! I hope you don't mind me submitting this - I know it very simple, to put it nicely. It is partially inspired by Episode 2, "Asymmetry", where you get to see more of Pai-san's "Leader" and "Pai Pai" sides. I think his personality is adorable. Thank you for holding this contest and allowing people like me to enter, Crunchyroll and Ms SailorBee! Also, are we allowed to use images we submit for other purposes? I don't think I have an avatar image yet for Crunchyroll...

Since I am no artist I was debating with myself whether I should publish these or not but what the hell...

I wanted to do something that told the story of an episode while working as simple stationary. After re-watching all the episodes currently out I settled on Episode 5 “Collaboration” where Rui goes through a range of emotions as he argues with the dissenting member of the 100, Umeda. These emotions appear to be personified by Rui's Crowds Avatar. These personified emotions are shown through body language which I have put in order of them happening from right to left (naturally) culminating in Rui's appearence in his striking Sherri Hill-esque red dress which the film student in me wants to label as another part of the mise-en-scene used to project how Rui is feeling. The red dress when he is confident, the bunny ears when he is conflicted, and the blue jacket and pants when he is just feeling more or less "average."

Its even Hajime approved.

Hello, this is my submission! I'm probably not going to be a Top 3 winner because I don't believe I currently have the artistic talent or skills to make an exemplary piece of stationary. I made this for a bit of fun and hopefully I win the random drawing for my friend. Without further ado, here is my submission. If this was inspired by a particular episode, it is probably Episode 2 because that episode is when the Galax App starts getting more attention in the anime. I would love to see an app like Galax made in the near future because I love the idea of people helping other people out of the goodness of their hearts. Well, hopefully I win a poster. Good luck to everyone else!

Digital Envelope

Okay so I based my stationary off of episode 6, where everyone is finally coming together as a sound team. Supporting each other and understanding each other better. I chose the pink details because of how much Hajime likes to collage. And actually got the composition idea from Gatchaman's ending, the use of marbles and when the paper goes from Hajime to Sugane. (Saw another user did a stationary on that and loved it ) How it connects them, relating it to how being Gatchaman brought them together. Really enjoy the the use of geometric shapes in both the anime and the ending.

Will be updating the post when i can get to a printer, mine isnt working right now.

:Side Note: Really liking the users who used Traditional Media they came out AWESOME!!

Edited::
Yay!! Printer now works!~

Hello, I was inspired by episode 2, I thought it was a really funny episode and really enjoyed how Hajime seemed to turn everything upside down for everyone.
All together the episode was a good laugh and it was fun to draw a happy Hajime juggling around her friends (Utsutsu, the alien and Sugane) and her belongings.

((I've only just started using crunchyroll :S and I'm super nervous and stuff ))

Any who this is my entry ^^ it's based off episode 2 (kind of the ending of episode 1 as well) where hajime transforms, I used a nighttime theme as it was getting dark during this scene and I though it made the transformation look really good

I hope you like it and stuff Your guys designs are so cool and i wish everyone good luck ^^ x

Awesome entries. I was inspired mostly by Ep. 2/Asymmetry, where Hajime forces Sugane to come to a GALAX meet-up for collaging.

I first wrote off Hajime's optimism at cluelessness but realized she was simply carefree yet resilient. It's incredibly hard to maintain that kind of attitude for your own good, let alone for other people. And Hajime does precisely that; she sincerely wants to bring happiness to others. Then we have Sugane, almost like a foil with his constant pragmatism. But if you watch long enough, he grows to accept thinking outside the box, even enjoying life a bit more. I look forward to seeing how each character grows because of the other.

As for the stationary, I took a literal approach and replicated one of Hajime's more colorful stationery and the stationery collage that Sugane created during the meet-up. While I could have drawn Hajime or Sugane themselves, I really love it when anime goods are designed in a way that give you a 'real' piece of the character. Such as their jewelry, outfit, emblem, book, etc. It feels a little more real and invokes what the character means to you rather than just their image... So corny sorry.

Here are the designs of Hajime's and Sugane's that I referenced (Photobucket links):

And here are my two designs below the spoiler tags:

Hajime's Animal Stationery (with and without writing lines) - I wanted to make it really pop and colorful...

Sugane's Katana Stationery - Going for a more painterly style to imitate the 'overlapping tape' and 'sticker/cutout' shapes.

I have no working printer atm ;; Good luck everyone.

My inspiration for this design was from episode 7 where we finally have a nice view of Hajime's room. I really love the color schemes and tried to incorporate the pastel colors into the design and I don't know why but I really adore her wall design on the right (the one where the giraffe is coming out).

Here is my design with and without the writing lines. Click on the spoiler to view the two designs! Hope you guys enjoy it!

Ahhh I definitely shouldn't have looked at everyone's entries first, I totally psyched myself out! They are all so amazing..

My design is based off of episode 7, Abjection. I like the ongoing pattern of episode titles being named after various art styles, so I tried my best to incorporate that into my design. It's heavily influenced by the scene in which
The idea behind it was to display the contrast between Berg and Crowds (effectively showcasing the contrast between Berg and Rui) as well as maintaining some level of simplicity. Berg enjoys hiding in the shadows, and watching chaos happen, hence only his tail and his wicked (slightly faded) grin appearing in my design, while the background is themed after the Crowds' appearance. I think that the episode title fits extremely well, in that Rui is being utterly degraded by Berg, in a very violent way, which is why I used this scene as my inspiration. It seemed like the best example of the episode's title, and it was a very powerful scene. Crowds is something that came from Berg, so I thought it would be fitting to use them together like this; it was essentially him stripping away any power that Rui thought he had, and rubbing it in his face. The entire design was made using Adobe Illustrator. Anyway, enough of my rambling, here's my design, and I hope everyone likes it..

Best of luck to everyone!!

its just my style to be late ....well it's never stopped me before.
there is symbolism in the photo is very gatchaman crowds -if you look at it long enough and also check my profile info you might see it.

ok so my entry - is based on ep2 there we first see Hajime's setting up her room with her DIY attitude-
she says something that just stuck out to me plus i just love giraffes.
look out for the hidden gatchaman logo

and this one was just for fun kind of like when the paper birds fly up in circles from JJ.

K can't wait to see everyone's entries and more crowds of course.

Here's mine

I drew it at 2x the ideal size.

I was inspired by seeing this in the first episode.
I thought "That tablet looks like it would be difficult to read in decent lighting without something like a piece of paper behind it, it advertises an affiliation with a secret society, and the privacy of anything written on it is easier to breach than a regular notepad because it can be read from the back. How would I improve it?"
"Bow the lines of course!"
Bending the lines give the writer more horizontal room for writing whilst keeping the paper's compact size.
The bonus to this is as far as I'm aware there's no language written in this shape making the note pad even more awkward to use.
The concave down parallel parabola pattern makes it genki like the main character and I used vegetable oil to make it translucent.
