Personally I'd rather have physical copies. You would hope that if they ever go out of buisiness they would let you download the stuff you bought but there's no way of knowing.

I'm closing this, because it's a personal request for advice, and therefore not allowed as a separate new thread. If you still want to ask you could do so in the Manga Help thread.

/forumtopic-809811/the-manga-help-thread

You could also start a more general discussion for people to talk about their thoughts and preferences about buying digital manga, but please first browse through this existing thread, to make sure you're not really duplicating what's covered there (it seems focused on eReader devices and not so much on reading on PCs which may be more the discussion you want to have.)

/forumtopic-497829/would-you-read-manga-on-an-e-book

I do have a Weekly Shonen Jump subscription, and it doesn't concern me that at some point I might lose access, since I don't collect stuff, and rarely re-read, so I just need it long enough to read it once. Also, I usually read on my iPad and I can download it there and read offline. Of course space is limited so I'm not sure how long I could really do that. My own habit is to remove ones I've already read.

For more information about exactly how it works on various devices, and possibility of saving on an external hard drive and being able to access even if the site ceases to exist, you're probably better off looking for answers in a FAQ or "contact us" at the Viz site.
