Firstly, I would hardly consider this existentialism...this would probably fit under metaphysics, at best.

Secondly, suppose there was a Lucifer-like being who, for some unknown reason, fed off of certain specific brain patterns of a species of primates (and perhaps other species with similar brain patterns). Why exactly would he create such an idea that is virtually unverifiable to make us hate him? Also, why would an "evil mastermind" want to be the one to be hated, putting him in the spot light? I mean, honestly, if this being wanted us to hate something, then it would have been more beneficial for him to continuously create flies or some other annoying insect for us to hate and kill.

The fact that god(s) and goddess(es) are unverifiable makes them always questionable, and thus there would always be skeptics. And, being skeptical of the Judeo-Christian God would likely lead one to be skeptical of this being, and thus would have a hard time hating him. In fact, one wouldn't necessarily have to be an atheist to not believe in the devil, they would just have to have a belief system without a satan (e.g. neopaganism). It's a bit difficult to actually hate someone who you believe doesn't exist,

This plan is inefficient at best. Satan would have the planning ability of a poorly-written comic book villain. As such, even if I believed this scenario (which I don't in any way shape or form), then I would have a hard time hating Satan more than just pitying him for being so unbelievably stupid.

Actually, Nintendo has successfully made me hate something more than this hypothetical Lucifer would have. Navi, I'm looking at you...

What a strange place to be discussing theological philosophy. Anyway, since no one else has mentioned it, I feel the need to point out that Nietzsche was a mentally unstable nihilist who barely managed to hold down a job for ten years in his entire life. The "God is dead" statements were most notably published in The Gay Science, shortly before he lost his mind from third-stage syphilis, which eventually killed him.

People really like to read his work, largely because he was melodramatic and angsty, but that doesn't mean that it should be taken literally, any more than Swift's proposal that the Irish eat their babies.

Wow, that was tl;dr. But Vega says God is Satan.

OP, you want an emo, "ugh, I cut my self at nighttime", "what's the point of life, ugh", existentialist view?

I'll add some, "ugh I lack meaning in my life", "Life is so absurd... *cries in corner*"

that's funny that one created another, considering neither ever existed in the first place.

doesn't matter. you cant have dark without light and you cant have light without dark. It's like a super hero with no villian or a villain with no hero, just plain old boring.

You are wrong on so many levels. Your own folly is beyond your own comprehension. Hmph, simple human.

Your own folly is plain to see. Human or not, clearly I am more superior to someone who cannot spell check his own post.

You`re one of those grammar Nazis that only can bring up a grammar issue in a argument huh? Instead of answering the real question.

I did answer the question on this thread earlier if you actually look back and read instead of responding to that one post of mine. I don't need to bring up grammar mistakes to make an argument unless the said person calls me foolish and then goes ahead and shoots himself in the head by making a simple grammar error when he's trying to sound all high and mighty. However, if pointing that out made you feel cool or something, I guess I'm not gonna rain on your grand parade. Congrats, my dear. You got me.. Oh shame on me...

People can believe what they want. Personally I am a Christian. I believe in God and the Bible. I honestly feel like it only makes since. I used to be an atheist. Things happened in my life and, push come to shove, I decided to visit a church. After that I researched. I BELIEVED! Its to each his own, but why not believe in the one with a promise.
JESUS
HE CAME FOR YOU
