The mayor of Seattle is working with local businesses to declare themselves gun free zones, each store would place a sticker in the window banning anyone with a concealed weapons permit from entering. The question is: What criminal is going to read that sign and decide to go rob a store where guns are allowed? Perpetrators of mass shootings have specifically targeted gun free zones. When was the last time someone tried shooting up an NRA convention?

I totally agree with you, it statistically makes your city much more dangerous and during 8th grade (going into 9th) I wrote a report showing pros and cons and I literally could find 0 pros to gun control that aren't contradictions like less assault rifle gun deaths which is only 2% of them that cause a rise in other gun/weapon caused death. It's obviously just a way to control the masses so no one can rebel or survive when the governments soon to be militarized dogs come to take over with martial law.

It sounds like they're trying to take some kind of moral high ground, but we all know humans can be the most immoral beings that walk this world. Needless to say, but you know the populace is going to be gung-ho about this for "safety" and wildly demand it happen. It'll only be a matter of time before the next madman decides to shoot up an area.

here's some info on some mass shootings stopped by armed citizens

And yet another "experiment" in how to stop law breaking criminals with more laws. I guess it was too dangerous having the responsible people carry guns. Better disarm the victims, imagine the damage they're going to cause otherwise... XD

I want to respond to this very simply. I'm not sure how to say it,
Well all im gonna say is most people in my state(Alaska) own guns so robbing someone isn't a good idea.

More stupid "feel good" politician talk. And that is all it is is talk for votes - not enforceable at all - are they going to strip search everyone at the door? They are not smart enough to figure a real solution, so they keep coming up with this goofy stuff to make the sheep think they are actually doing something.

So, every country should have nuclear weapons because: Who wouldn't nuke the ones that don't? Yeah, we know where this led to.

Please excuse the hyperbole, you aren't better.

A sign just invites people. It's like a "party with guns here!" sign.

Actually this is a move to stop incidents of gun violence among patrons due to testosterone fueled rage. Which is far more likely than being robbed.

That's just rifles as a whole. The number of assault rifle homicides per year is very close to [if not] zero due to cost and regulation.
