A minority opinion to be sure, but A Clockwork Orange is a breathtaking and amazing book, and a crappy cartoon of a movie.

The film is, like many Kubrick adaptations, meant to be its own version/creation. That said, it should be noted that the original ending to the book wasn't published till sometime after the film in US editions if I recall correctly. The ending really is what saves the book and would have made the film something VERY different had it been used.

For me...Vanity Fair. It's rarely been adapted well (the BBC TV production was pretty good) as the lead character is often made a tad too sympathetic and likeable. It's a shame because so many think of the book as a stuffy lit classic that really is quite contemporary.

For me thus far the percy jackson series loved the books as a teen but you see how they stopped after 2 movies but the books are 1 of the young teens best sellers of the 21st century. SMH

Maximum Ride. The book is kind of clique but the movie is so bad I couldn't even last five minutes. It deserved better. Also Percy Jackson, which needs no explanation for the issues.

This is my choice as well. One of the worst movies I've seen as well.

Not sure if mentioned, but Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters. The plot for the movie was forgettable, and the ending was trash since they botched it entirely

The movie based on Albert Camus' The Plague is pretty awful, honestly.

my sister keeper

in the book, the healthy sister died.
in the movie, the unhealthy sister died.
i don't like this new ending.
because its supposed to be extra touching because the healthy sister died after the lawsuit.

The screenplay was such shit.
