So they're wearing short skirts in a snow storm. How are they not dead?

I thought the shorts were cool here, why wouldn't they be cool in the future?

That said, these comedic EEEEH moments arn't very funny, but they should be! How hard would it be to grab a sense of timing on these things? Perhaps continuiously animate the entire exchange like a Ghibli Film? Nothing's ever still in a Ghibli film, you got to keep each sone moving at all times, that makes it far more pleasing to the eye.

Honestly, I don't see why they didn't wear shorts AND skirts here, it'd bump the Cuteness factor up by at least 30% while still covering up!

Of course, that would actually take work to animate. No more relying on the CG Department for everything.

You know, when I look at it everything seems a little offhere. The forest background is background enough sure, but isn't it alittle...genericly bad? I know they're on a giant boat but STILL.

Then you got the Tank not really fitting with the Girls when it's a static image, but I'll let that slide here, I liked the crazy nonsense in this scene, ALTHO I'ts hard to tell WHO THAT EVEN IS, WHY CAN'T THEY GIVE US SLIGHTLY MORE RECOGNIZABLE CHARACTERS?

Unless she's the only one with short-shorts, then it's cool.

That moment when you go to open a new tab and accidentally close the one you had open and were writing a forum post for... and what you wrote down doesn't save...

Anyways, all caught up on this series and ready to jump right back into the Tankery discussion action.

Regarding episode 10
I found it rather interesting how they were all eating some form of katsu the night before the final battle. I don't know much regarding Japanese culture, but I do know that is it some form of ritualistic tradition to eat katsudon (or any type of katsu for that matter) the night prior to writing a big test or entrance exam. This is because the word 'katsu', when not used for cooking, means 'win' or 'victory'. I just found it interesting how they included that bit of Japanese culture, yet did not bother to explain any it for non-japanese viewers, not that I'm complaining. I hate when anime gets localised for wider audiences.

Dammit, now I'm hungry...

Episode 11
=========

So it seems that this battle is heating up nicely, but I suppose that's to be expected from what is the final battle of both the tournament and this series. The opposing team, however the hell you spell their name, appears to be a veritable powerhouse, displaying a beautiful combination of both overwhelming force and tactical genius. It's no surprise that they have such a prestigious reputation.

Holy shit, Miho can jump. Did you see that Tank leaping? I suppose it should be expected that there would be a recurrence of the events that were traumatising (and I use that term lightly) the main protagonist, and I'm somewhat disappointed that that happened. It just seems a little cliche to me.

That juggernaut Maus tank at the end. Holy shit, it just appears out of nowhere and starts ripping the other team to shreds. It seems to be immune to tank fire even at a close range, so I wonder how it would be stopped? I'd imagine something like that must be pretty slow and difficult to maneuver, but why not just make that thing your flag tank? Seems like an invincible strategy to me.

Ok, finished the series! Typical ending. The only standout moment was when they parked a tank on top of the Maus to keep it from shooting. Cool strategy. Other than that, I'm glad to be done with this series, and I almost feel bad for recommending it. The animation was good, but all the characters were boring, and the plot was paper-thin.

Anime ending was unsurprising and very expected. Overall, nothing special. I did however like the strategy they used to take out the Maus tank. I honestly didn't expect that.
