I don't think anyone would think I am a otaku until they step into my room.
What about you guys?

between all my convention shirts, messenger bags, anime shirts from j-list, my collection room, my cosplaying 15 year old daughter, and my car I would say YES!

hahah that's awesome man, getting your daughter into the fandom, i like the way you think.

yeah, i wouldn't say i dress like an otaku or anything, but a friend of mine does, so i guess maybe if i was with her, i guess we'd look like otakus.

WHen someone wlas into my room the first thing they notice is the Sword rack

THEN the shelf of Anime and Figures on it.

But I've smartly collected figures in a way that it'll make me look gay before I look like a pervert.

Oh, and I'm building Gundam models now, so now I'm a Gundam Fanatic instead of an Otaku

I have never seen an otaku dressed like I am so I would say no, most people tend to say that I'm dressed like a cowboy but I don't see it probably because I have a very stereotypical image of a cowboy in my head when I'm told so. but that being said I think I would at some point in time i may dress like an otaku. I just need to have otaku friends, ugh seems so hard to find them because they are pretty much all shut-ins, I have some ciel contacts that I would wear while being out and about just need to be with the right people though.

I dress according to the occasion. If I am on my own watch, it's often boxers with shorts. Not givin' a fluck as I indulge.

I don't dress like an anime watcher(fan), I don't actually think there is a way to dress like an anime fan. There's not really a clique of anime fans that dress a certain way, that I know of anyway. Certainly would like to dress uniquely though. if there was an anime fan way to dress I would wear that fashion.

I recently just embraced my inner Otaku about... Two years ago? Something like that. I don't have a whole lot to show for it yet, but I'd damn wear anime shirts around all the time. Especially of the shows I really, REALLY love. I'd totally want an anime-themed messenger bag, too. I mean... I'm pretty normal, so I don't know if I'd go against what people would expect when they see that sort of stuff, but I don't give a fuuuuuuck~ If I think it's awesome enough, I'm buying it. Especially once I get a better job and start earning more money. I can't let this stuff slip by.

Do I wear some of the more Otaku-esque accecories, though...? No. Like, I know a guy that comes into GameStop (where I work) every now and then who wears a headband emblazoned with the Hidden Leaf's symbol from Naruto. I'm going to buy a Brony wallet and a belt with a cool buckle at some point as well. I just love this stuff all so much! Man... I've missed out on a lot though. I wish I would have been more hardcore into the fandom a little while back when I had money to blow. Gah!

Well, what about shirts and other accessories with references? Lol. I mean, I don't think there's a certain way to dress, but if I meet somebody with a FLCL shirt on, I'm giving that person a high-five!

considering the only time I buy clothes are at concerts and I own no anime/ manga related stuff I would be shocked if someone could guess based off looking at me. At the same time though its not something I'm trying to hide
