Has there ever been an Anime that honestly cheered you up when you felt down?

in response to OP: not really, a night out can cure that. I find anime more useful for time-killing amusement.

A significant portion of my life revolves around watching these kinds of shows. I literally watch an episode of one every night before bed (I call them "enders"). Anyway, rather than giving a huge list and stealing other people's thunder, i'll share my most recent ender.

Aria: The Animation - A well known and well-liked peaceful slice of life series that I finally got around to watching and I love it. Every episode gives me a warm-fuzzy feeling inside and allows me to forget all my troubles and lose myself in the canals of Neo-Venezia. Shaping up to be one of my personal favorites (and a rare candidate for all-time favorite). But i'm only on the last episode of the first season.

The only media that has picked me up when feeling down is OceanLabs music.
I've never felt down while watching anime.

THIS. And pretty much every episode for me actually.

Other series like Usagi Drop, Yuyushiki, Neptunia, Acchi Kocchi, and Aiura also had similar effects.

I think Usagi Drop is the most severely kawaii warm-fuzzies inducing anime that I have seen. Besides Rin's adorableness, I think it's the show's simplicity that make me have a big goofy grin watching every episode. It's so down to earth; just a dad taking his kid to school, cooking, brushing their teeth - it's so relatable!
Natsume Yuujinchou is another one that warms my cold black heart (jk) and Gintama is a good one when you need inspiration or cheering up.

Neptunia is a unique case though, because it's warm and fuzzy with explosions. They just do everything so right in that show.
