But I don't care if anyone else drinks or not. Usually if someone doesn't drink they have a good reason for it, and I totally respect that. But I also make the non-drinkers drive me around.

I love to hang and drink with or with out buddies around. if I am the only one drinking I don't mind that as long as everyone having a good time.

I like drinking, but, no, it's not important in my life. I rate it as a 2/10 in importance. I consider alcohol as a luxury and an occasional treat, and I'm perfectly fine with going without.

I enjoy drinking, but I certainly wouldn't say it's at all necessary for friendships. It's just a fun thing to do, really. I only do it on occasion, though, due to the cost.

I actually prefer to drink girly drinks, though. Cider/beer makes me suck before I can consume enough to get drunk, and I can't swallow shots. I mix alcopops, then add vodka. It gets me drunk quickly, tastes awesome, and doesn't upset my stomach

How come people who don't drink are the prudes? Who gets called a prude for not liking any other drink? I don't like the smell or taste of alcohol and so don't drink it, if that is not good enough for her, I don't want those kinds of "friends".

It's not super important to me, but I do have a drink occasionally. Drinking has a more romantic appeal to me than an actual need to get inebriated. I also only drink fine liquor. So I consider it more of a treat than a normal day to day activity.

Id have to say in maintaining a decent relathionship, friendship, etc drinking shouldnt be a deciding factor, Yet from my experience those of whom love a drink with a kick (me) much better prefer to hang with others that have the same interest. Unless of course there are tons of otaku or gamers around then anything is immediate fun ^.^

Some questions here are so....*sighs* if someone thinks is important that I should drink, that person is not worth my time. My friends drink alcohol and I don't, and we get along just fine. Alcohol should not be an important factor of your life, it degrades your mind and body but to each their own.

However, drinking WATER is important for me

I live in a college town with at least one bar on every block downtown--the majority of the people I know drink. While it isn't important to me, I'll admit that it's played a key role in many social situations I've been in Always for better, never for worse. I choose wisely the people I decide to drink with.

Hey Crunchyroll!

Do you think it's important to friendship or dating to like drinking alcohol? I don't drink and as of late I feel like it's really limiting. Sometimes I get shrugged of or judged as a prude because I don't like drinking..... I've tried it lots of times but I just don't like it. I'm not afraid of trying new things or getting into a little trouble, or staying out late.

It's fine really. When you hang out with your friends in a drinking session, it can be an advantage to remain sober! I mean, you will not miss all of the scandal the would take place then lol. Plus, if you know how to drive, you'd be the good guy who sends everyone home.

I don't really like beer, or anything that reeks of alcohol. I do rather like wine though. I also take my tequila shots without citrus, which my friends find very weird.

Thing is, I can't drink too much for medical reasons. If I plan to drink more than a glass of wine or more than 3 shots of a hard drink, I have to drink medicine first.
