How much time do you spend with friends?

I ask because I think perhaps I make mine feel neglected a lot. I very often have moments where I'll ignore calls, messages on Facebook, texts, messages on here, GB posts, etc. - and it isn't in an attempt to hurt them, rather, I'm just too busy doing my own thing to worry about speaking to them. But I do consider them my friends because they're people I have a great deal in common with, and I do like to talk to them on occasion. Those times usually occur when I have a lot to say and want to speak with someone who understands very easily. I just get tired of constantly feeling the urge to apologize to them when all I want to do is go off on my own without worrying.

However, it's very different with significant others. I'll talk to them daily, and I've figured out the reason is probably that I find them much more unpredictable ergo interesting. Even when I'm not speaking to friends, I'm out looking for interesting conversation with others. All of my SOs have been hugely different from me, though, so to talk to them about things is usually a bad move. Sometimes I wonder if maybe I'm just hanging out with the wrong people, although I doubt it very, very much. My cousin is my best friend in the world. We have a lot in common and I strongly value the conversations we do have. I just don't typically go out of my way to have them with her.

Anyway, how much time do you spend with your friends, and why?

I try to talk to them a lot but I usually have things to do so I sometimes neglect them. Other times I feel as if I want to search for new friends to replace the ones I have but in the end I really need the friends I have now.

Well, I usually have at least one bro outing a week. Might involve a trip to the mall or Hastings or GamePoint to ogle over games and anime/manga, or it might involve hanging around and playing games and watching anime together :)

Personally... I don't like being alone, although I can manage. I just like to have someone to talk to. I feel like I'm the most out reaching of my friends, but I try to be considerate and not bug them too much. I'm actually going to hang tonight to check out FFXIV on my bro's PS3 to see if I want to buy it this payday!

I meet up with most of my closest friends once a week for a game of Dungeons and Dragons (or whatever system we're playing at the time), but don't see them too often other than that, though I do talk to them every now and then on Skype or what have you. The other friends I have are more or less the same: we gather up to do something, but don't often just hang out. I have two special cases though. The first is my best friend (who's also my ex-girlfriend), who lives on the other side of the world. Obviously we can't meet up to do stuff, but we talk most days, and work on creative projects together. The second is my brother, who I see pretty much every day, and is probably the person I'm closest to at the moment. While I'm usually very introverted and like to cloister myself in my room, I do often get the urge to go talk to someone, and my usual solution to that is to go bug him for a little while.

Well, I talk to my friends just about every night on Teamspeak and usually we're playing a game together. Does that maybe... 1/2 count?

Anyway, we probably hang out an average of 3 outta 4 weekends a month maybe. Could be a lot more, but we all work full time, so weekdays we just stick to TS.

Feels like we've got it just right. I love spending time with them and I'm very rarely bored wondering where everyone is. However, I do like the occasional quiet weekend too, but who doesn't right?

Not that much honestly. My best friend usually comes over to my house for half an hour or so, and we chat on steam but that's about it. And it works. If we're with each other loads the company either becomes annoying, and you have longer to fall out. Then again, we do have plans to start up an anime + airsoft business so if that kicks off ok we will spend a lot longer together I presume.

It depends...i admit chatting and texting with them more often than actually meeting up
