Have you ever had an old guy call you pretty even though you're a guy?

I was at work once and this at least 65 year old man starting calling me honey/hun and I just thought it was the way he spoke or w/e but it made me uncomfortable. Then when he was leaving he goes "bye babe" and winks at me and OMG I don't think I moved or did anything for a good 5 minutes I was in such shock.

Like, it wasn't really the fact that it was a man since I have nothing against gay people it was just the fact that an old man was doing it that really gave me the shudders.

Although people would also call me ma'am a lot, but that was just from them not paying attention. I worked at a place with mostly female staff.

Some young guys called me pretty and an old guy called me handsome.
Such rotten luck.

I'm sure they didn't mean anything by it other than the fact that maybe you are pretty. Chill, dude, compliments don't have to be gendered.

It depends on how it's worded.
Handsome or just straight out stating you're a good looking guy is totally normal but pretty is just down right bizarre to be in a guy's vocabulary let alone happening more then once with different guy's.

Pretty boy is also acceptable but just "pretty" makes zero sense and i would feel like i was in the twlight-zone receiving such a complement.
Unless it was obvious the old guy swung that way then i would just be like oh, okay that's normal.

nope, never been called "pretty" whether it be male, female, young or old, blind or 20/20 vision.

my face is too rough to be considered pretty, I don't have large eyes or smooth skin.

Liar.

I'm female, so... Well, I'd say that a guy is "pretty" when I see one who I consider as such. No, I'm not necessarily referring to men being effeminate. I guess I'd be a creepy old lady calling younger chaps "pretty."
