Just completed my first ever JRPG, Tales of Xillia, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. Already can't wait for the sequel's North American release. Would love to get more involved in this wonderful genre, but I have to ask, what are all of your favourite JRPGs that you have played over the years?

So many JRPGs. Welp, there goes all my free time for the next 10 years xD. Currently considering getting Tales of Graces F since it's more of a current gen JRPG. Don't own a 360, so Tales of Vesperia and those others will have to wait unfortunately. Holy hell this list is huge. Already own Ni No Kuni, but haven't put much time into it so far. Guess I'm just not a fan of Studio Ghibli's art style,

Currently only have about 60 hours invested into Xillia. Such an amazing game, but the bonus dungeon boss was a nightmare. Don't worry, I won't put any spoilers. Trying to upgrade to the Collector's Edition, but finding one for cheap has proven tedious, lol.

Haha, yeah (totally jealous, btw). Also, don't forget the Milla figure. Currently own the Limited Edition version, so mostly gonna try and sell that once the Collector's version comes in. Figured that since this is really the first JRPG I've ever beaten, I should cherish this moment with a Collector's version.

Tales of Vesperia is better than Graces. Just sayin'. And an HD remake of Tales of Symphonia is coming next year. DO. NOT. MISS. IT.

Eternal Sonata got ported to PS3. So did Star Ocean. Both are excellent, and very similar in feel to the Tales series. The Atelier series and Neptunia series.... They're not for everyone. Atelier is an alchemy game. You spend more time synthesizing than battling or questing. Neptunia is heavy on the VN sections and light on everything else. Ar tonelico 3 is decent, but nowhere near the greatness of 2.

If you have a Wii, Xenoblade Chronicles is the big muthafucker of JRPGs. Prepare to trade in your life to see everything. I think I burned 80 some-odd hours with very few side quests (Actually almost none). But it's BEAUTIFUL (In a standard-definition sorta way). Arc Rise Fantasia screams Tales series. It's a great game with horrible voice actors.

Do you have a PS2?

The C.E. sold out QUICK. I was lucky enough to get one myself. I almost down-graded mine from C.E. to L.E. to save some money, thinking the figure wouldn't be worth it. BUT, this thing is beautiful! Looks just as good as all my other $100+ figures. I'm SOOOOOOO glad I kept my order!

Holy shit, how much money do you think I have?! Yeah, I currently own a PS2 and a Wii, so I'll probably pick up a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles and Tales of Graces F next time I'm at EB Games (Canadian branch of GameStop). Looking forward to Tales of Symphonia next year, along with ToX2. Will probably have to wait until I have more money before I get Eternal Sonata or Star Ocean. Would love to try out Vesperia, but unfortunately a new console isn't in the budget right now. Can't even afford a 3DS to play the new Pokemon games

Actually found some C.E copies of ToX on Amazon for $130 (including shipping and customs). Amazon is wonderful for us Canadian customers. We don't get the free shipping deal AND we have to pay customs. Tried ebay, but don't feel like paying $200

Pokémon is soooooo 1998.

You can get Eternal Sonata on the cheap at Gamestop (EB Games). Xenoblade Chronicles is gonna run you a cool $90 US because only one retailer sold it (Gamestop) and they're price gouging the shit out of it right now.

If you can find Tales of the Abyss on PS2, pick that up ASAP. Also, Persona 3 or 4 for PS2 are good....and LONG. Persona 3 is a HARD game, too. Do not take it lightly.

Here's a little gameplay snippet of me playing my favorite game that no one played:

Wild ARMs 5 was a GREAT game for the PS2. And I don't know anybody else who's played it. It sailed deep under the radar from what I can tell. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Haha yeah, I know Pokemon is so old and kinda childish, but I grew up with Red and Blue and have been buying each generation ever since, lol.

http://www.ebgames.ca/browse?nav=16k-Xenoblade+Chronicles Not sure where you're getting $90 from, but looks closer to around $50 here. Would truly be insane to pay $90 for a game and not having it come with some sort of figure or other stuff.

Been considering getting into the Persona series, as I've heard nothing but good things about it. If I can find Tales of the Abyss for cheap, would definitely get it.

Wild ARMs 5. I''ve never even heard of that game, but it looks good. Doubt I'll be able to find a copy of it, though.

They dropped it $10.

I bought Xenoblade Chronicles brand new, preordered, for $50. I think it came with something. Something paper. An art book or something? I'll have to go check.

Wow, $80 for a game. That's kinda insane. Looks like I can pick it up for $40 here, though.
