I'm still excited, but it's starting to seem more and more like this movie will be full of fanservice and pandering. Urobutchi is a prideful man from what I can tell, so I don't think he'll sell out his franchise. But I'm wrong very often.

why is it so famous?

Urobuchi? Gen Urobuchi is known for crafting stories with tragedy (actually had a near death experience), deliver suffering to at least one person in anything he writes. Oh and death. There's a reason why Psycho-Pass' chief director invited him as series composition/script writer for it and why fans call him "Urobutcher"

Madoka Magica? For starters, (brutal) deconstruction of the magical girl genre. One could consider it the Neon Genesis Evangelion of magical girls. Then Gen Urobuchi, Then the Madoka Magica cast.

Also, if there is a decent amount of fanservice/pandering, expect the Urobutcher train to crush it in seconds.

is that why the Stardust☆Witch Meruru on oreimo have such a destruction power it is base on this anime?

Stardust☆Witch Meruru may be based on the anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha due various elements such as Meruru's overkill in attacks (enough to level a city) similar to Nanoha's Starlight Breaker as well as having a wand that can turn into different things. Meruru herself is also played by Yukari Tamura, the voice actress of Nanoha. Actually, in one of the character song, Yukari Tamura sing as Meruru, but mess up and say " Takamachi Nanoha desu " meaning " I'm Takamachi Nanoha ", confirming the fact that it's based on Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. She's also saying Nanoha's catchphrase, " Zenryoku zenkai".

Some speculate that Stardust☆Witch Meruru is based Magi Madoka Magica Puella Magi Madoka Magicadue to similarities of Meruru to the series such as Meruru's visual similarities with Madoka Kaname the main protagoinist of Madoka Magica. However it is impossible for Stardust☆Witch Meruru to based on the Madoka Magica because Oreimo came before Madoka Magica.

Comet-kun's design seems to be based on Mokona, a recurring animal sidekick character who appears in CLAMP mangas Magic Knight Rayearth, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and xxxHolic

Been shipping Madoka and Homura for years. A kiss would be wonderful! Homura has been searching through all of time for her! That is going to be one of the best reuinions ever... OMG I'm tearing up just thinking about it! Episode 12 わたしの、最高のともだち "My very best friend" oh my Madoka... An absolute masterpiece, one of the best ever that can bring forth such emotions later at the mere mention of the final episode title.

So these new pictures were in some magazine, they tell me a little bit and sort of support one of my old theories on Homura vs Mami. They may be spoilerish so if you want to go in blind I wouldn't click them or read on. Well, you wouldn't be in a thread about previews if you wanted to watch Rebellion blind anyway. Whatever, I'll spoil them anyway just in case.

Anyway, my theory is that Homura is fighting both Sayaka and Mami because they don't believe the truth about the Soul gems. They aren't doing too well because Homura is a very powerful opponent thanks to her time manipulation abilities. So Mami decides that in order to beat Homura, they'll have to hit her shield. Mami distracts Homura and Sayaka stabs the shield. As seen here.

Homura then neutralizes Sayaka while she's still in close and continues one on one with Mami until they stalemate. As seen here.

Homura then demonstrates the truth of Soul gems by shooting herself in the head. As seen here.

Mami then reacts to the truth of the Soul Gems the same way she does in the series main time line by attempting to kill all the magical girls around here. In this case, starting with Homura. Which explains this. Also notice the blood on the left side of her face, which is the same spot she seems to shoot herself.
