From CR NEWS:

It is reported today that the total earnings of the anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day film has surpassed 1 billion yen (about US$10 million) at the Japanese box office as of October 25 in the 56 days since its release on August 31. It has sold 754,341 tickets and earned 10,0929,0700 yen by October 27. It started with only 66 screens across Japan, but it eventually increased to 100 by the requests from other areas. The box office record already surpassed the 2010 film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya's 800 million yen. The most successful film adaptation of the midnight run block TV anime was K-ON! Movie which was released in December 2010 and earned 1.9 billion yen in its total theatrical run. How close will the anohana film reach the record?
