Yeah well its coming out on DVD september 26th. I knew a while back that it was coming out on DVD and thetres in the same month, but I was looking for the official date because I saw it on this ad that Funimation gave me. There are 2 releases; the regular one and the limited edition one. The regualr costs about $20-30 and the limited edition is probably going to go around $50. THe limited edition comes with a 64 page hardback book, ten 5x7 portrait cards, and a bonus DVD with extra features.
I think you can find the limited edition for cheaper like around $36

Oh yeah and a basic intro to the story is that it continues where the series left off. Edward is in Germany around the time of WWII, and he can't use alchemy. I don't wanna a give too much so I'll leave it at that.

It's coming out on DVD on the 12th. At least that's what the commercial I saw said. And yes this commercial was actually on the tele.

Are you guys talking about The Conquerer of Shamballa movie? If so, hehe, I must be really lucky because I got to see that one at the Aikon convention here in July.

focusing too much on the alchemy makes it too much like a normal shounen. Like naruto or Dragonball Z. try to hard coming up with cool powers then all you get is pretty much predictable stuff. I thought it was great. Al in the flesh, Wrath being actually likeable. Its all good. Not as good as the series but a good way to conclude it.

Yeah that's why I saw it on AX 2006. I havent watched TV in a long time so I dont remember it being here in LA in theaters. Man I must be stoned or something. I've probably seen it 9 times alrady...via torrent. I still wanted to see it though dubbed cause Vic Mignogna is awesome. I wish I had the directors cut of EVA so I could see his character. Too bad he's not anywhere else in the series.

To be honest I hope not. A series has to know when to end. This anime is one of the only ones to have a movie that's actually relevant to the plot. In fact, it's the ending of the story. If they have a second it will be horrible and just a marketing thing. There are 3 OVA's though. I saw one. I downloaded it from a direct download site then deleted it cause I thought it was crap. The sites down and now I can't get it back. Oh well. It was basically FMA as if it were a ride like Back to the Future at universal or something. Where the characters talk to you and stuff. Wasn't that good. The other too might be good though.

I loved the FMA movie; it was such a perfect complement to the series. Alphonse was so f'n awesome in it. Anyone who hasn't seen it needs to get it and watch it, it was wicked sweet.

i totally agree. and, there are actually 4 ova's after the movie, but i think, even though it would be nice to continue, its over.
(oh, and i agree that the alphonse real world ova was bad... the other three are better though)
