I found the story aspect of the game to short. But there are tons of sidequests and what not to keep me entertained.

I have only played the demo, but from what i saw of it , i dont want to play the finished product.

I`m tired of game designers trying to innovate and ending up with things like the Wii controller, and from what ive seen , the gawd awful combat system in this game.

I actually really like the combat system. The removal of random battles really made it easier to plan ahead, and that is the idea of the revamped combat system: plan, plan, plan, and plan some more. In my opinion, that has always been a major focus of JRPGs; this just takes it to the next level. You get to plan your battle strategy ahead of time, choose character roles, and then let them carry out the actions you have set. It's just like any other JRPG, except your characters are smart enough to get through combat without you holding their hand. And, you don't have to fight any battle you don't want to fight.
I never played the demo, but I suspect it may have lacked many of the customization options available in the final game. (speaking of the demo reminds me that I really should purchase a copy of Dragon Quest 8...)

p.s. Most people actually like the Wiimote. I think it's less of a misstep than Sony's removal of vibration from the PS3 controller (but then, I really like controller vibration for some reason).

PS3 controllers don't vibrate... I never even noticed... and I love the Wii remote you ever play baseball on that I jacked some homers but this is a final fantasy topic.

Why is it you can beat the game at level 40? I leveled all my characters so they were even and I beat the game with them at 40..(minus the sub quests) in other games I'd have to be 70-80 to beat the story... it was a little frusterating... I loved the cut scene when you leave for the Bahamat!

Sound s to me like the game plays itself for you , wich makes it pointless , except for story value .

Sports games are the lowest rung of games and should be taken off the market , you wanna play baseball, then go outside .

I dont like the wiimote because i play video games to relax , no to tire my fat ass out wsining my arms around.

I doubt it but, maybe they addapted the way they did FF8, all bosses are the same level as your highest characters lvl. of course, i made the mistake of lvling squall up to 99, and the rest were at like 60...

The combat system is one of the best aspects of this game. It's not innovative, it's just being different from other Final Fantasy's.

Also All my characters are around level 70 and it's really easy Im only about 3/4 of the way in the game I think. Maybe a bit more. I still have around 6-7 bosses to go at. So I dont find it hard to believe you can beat the game at lvl 40-50. It just makes things more difficult, especially for some of the hidden espers and marks.

The main story was pretty easy, but once you get into the later hunts and espers it can be really tough. I can't even use gambits on most of the fights because they can't predict damage being done, only after it's dealt. There's times when you need a heal to land just as the damage is dealt.

I still think it's the third best FF to date.

i just noticed a couple things about FF12 it takes place in Ivalice hmm what other final fantasy game takes place in Ivalice oh yeah Tactics and in the begging did anyone run into Montblanc his little brother and Nutsy (if you dont know montblanc was the main character in FFTA and nutsy was the name of the clan that he owned) but nutsy is the name of another moogle in ff12 though.
