Don't be heart-broken if it takes longer. The job market is terrible.
Right now I'm delivering pizzas. Going to be working on getting my CDL here soon.

i got my 1st job at 17 at the dining hall of the university i attended, & during the summer i worked for facilities management at the same school. unforeseen circumstances lead me to take a hardship withdrawal from school. since then i have worked for a couple locally-owned restaurants as a cook, server, dishwasher, & cashier; as gas station attendant; & a hardware store inventory management specialist. i've also done (mostly) volunteer work for a national non-profit that aims to better the lives of people affected by mental illness. i have recently applied for a transfer to a different university in hopes of finishing school so that i don't have to work at anymore jobs i don't like >_<

I sit at a desk on the second floor of my college's recreational facility.

That's it. My training consisted of being told to go upstairs and turn on the machines and TVs. Occasionally I go around and wipe stuff down with anti-bacterial spray and pick up abandoned weights, but that hardly chips away at a three hour shift.

It's convenient study time, I guess. I just don't feel particularly comfortable calling it a job.

Of course, I used to work with my dad (who's a contractor) throughout high school. Sitting at a desk is certainly easier than 12 hours of roofing, albeit a little depressing when someone mistakes me for a useful facility employee...

Right now i'm currently working at a 7-11 during the graveyard shift.
I wouldn't say that I actually like it but the money is good.
Just the people that come in sometimes make me feel like slamming my head against the counter.
I'm actually quiet proud of my self for lasting as long as I have so far, 7 months and I haven't gone crazy or suffered any head trauma from the counter.
And I have a few friends that have worked there as well before me and they have the same complaints and horror story's that I have.
I really do want to try finding a new job though, very soon.

At the age of 17 I was working for Subway.

That didn't last long since I was still in school and I had a hard time multi-tasking.

When I turned 18 and moved out with my sister and brother-in-law, I worked with him in a decal shop before I moved over to details in a dealership. Moved over to UPS but then had to come back to the decal shop.

2010 rolls around I'm back with my parents and started working at Office Depot for the next solid three years before quitting.

Now, I'm working at Best Buy and trying to make ends meet. But how it works here, I think it won't be that hard unlike the other jobs I had.

At age 12-14 I worked on a farm. Quit when I caught on that the owner was cheating everyone. Told everyone with proof and told the state officials. He had a lot of money to pay out to us, fines to the Gov. and everyone quit at the same time. Moron lost the farm. Ha Ha Ha.
14-16 worked at a different farm which paid for a 1955 Triumph 650 and a 1960 VW BUG. Bike really pissed the parents off.

16-18 worked at one of the better Steak joints in the city. Started as busboy finished as asst grill Chef.
18-19.5 worked in a car wash for grins. 2 guys & 6 girls.. Lots of fun there.
19.5-21.8 US ARMY. Came back a drunk and messed up.
23-28 - A friend told me that there was a ton of cash to be made as a "DOM". I was amazed how many women of all ages were willing to pay money to be tied up and much worse during sex. They were aged 19 to 72 yrs old. I had to call it quits when some of them wanted to bleed.
28-36 Worked a normal factory job and got married. Jobs disappeared then and was on welfare. Got Divorced due to no job.
37-56 Worked as a Federal Police Officer assigned to an Air Force Base. Injured in a motorcycle accident that left me disabled.
I guess I have led a really twisted life. I have some wicked stories to tell the grandkids when they get older

2002-2005: Split between Charles L. Sommers Canoe Base as an assistant guide, cleaning cleaning shit out of animal cages at the NEW Zoo. Summers only was still in high school.
2005-2010: US Army, 173d Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 2/503d Parachute Infantry, Chosen Company. Multiple operations and deployments on several continents.
2011: Alcoholic with a cocaine addiction. You can only encounter so much SNAFU/FUBAR before you lose it. Managed to somehow hold down a job in a Canadian National railyard, still astounded I didn't get canned or killed.
2011-Current: Kicked the booze and drugs, put my knowledge to use taking tech school classes relevant to gunsmithing, work at a highly reputable local dealer/shop. Putting out contact information and hunting down former associates in an attempt to gain work at a private security firm.

21 I worked with a company that made hair and skin care products. However, I was the hands-on/dirty job guy. I loved it though! It was an awesome experience and I had my own little office space. Anime, movies, shows, games; if I had the free time, I was all over it! :D
1 hour lunch breaks and I would hit the bar and watch some soccer or tennis! Ahhh, the New York life...

Now I am 23 and I work for Dell at their warehouse in Ohio. I am a receiver, truck unloader, go-to guy, data entry/collector, and it's still a dangerous job Not as free as the one from New York, but the pay is good.
