I work as a receptionist. I'm overpaid because management has a questionable grasp of employee value (i'm one of the least overpaid people in the company) and I work with assholes and morons but it does leave me plenty of free time on the internet and it's easy enough. Got the job through nepotism about 5 months ago and i've managed to outlast the person who got me the job in the first place so hooray me.

I started working at age 10 and I'm 54 - and I'm willing to try anything once so it's a pretty extensive list! I prefer to work with animals - from Animal Control Officer to horse trainer to vet tech but it doesn't pay very well. So from age 25 to 40+ I was an exotic dancer, stripper to you and from there went into the online porn biz from where I somehow sequed into creating free coloring pages for my own mainstream website - LOL. All my life I'm an artist getting a little commission work here and there, and writing as well. Now I actually write or draw pretty much all the time. Under my real name I have a few books on Kindle, and under the pen name Petit Morte I am publishing great gobs of old short sex stories. Later this year I plan to get to work on rewriting some of the other two tons of stuff I have laying around, including some YA books, and even illustrated childrens books.

I am constitutionally unable to continue working at anything I hate for very long. My favorite job so far has to be stripping. I worked for myself, toured the country, and didn't have to take any shit off anyone. Oh - and at the time, the money was awesome. I used to say I used to go drinking and dancing and spend money - then I got this job when I got to go drinking and dancing and people paid me to do it! I love music, I love to dance, I loved traveling - but ya know - there comes a time when it's time to quit taking your clothes off in public.

Some of you guys sound so intriguing - I want to interview you!

from 16-17 I worked at a Arby's as a drive through / Fresh market section... Then I realized I became 220lbs and was only 5'4" and needed a change because I would stay in one place all the time at work and at home on a computer. At the age of 18 I joined the Military and just recently got out. I would have to say my time at the Arby's was a lot more fun then the military. But all in all I made some irreplaceable friends from the military so I guess you can say I enjoyed them both equally. Right now I am currently sitting home collecting a paycheck and looking for a college to attend. The military does offer some great school benefits to veterans after all haha

Currently I am a lead for a customer service company which means if you escalate a call or ask for a leadership that is where I step in. I also do real time help support for those taking calls too (and take calls myself). I have worked a few different positions there like trainer and subject matter expert.

In the past I have worked as:

A meteorology tutor
Summertime meteorology researcher
Teaching Meteorology Lab or assisting
Secretary for a Tree Care Company
Expo/Alley Aide and Hostess at Red Lobster
Building Maintenance Worker for the dorm rooms for a summer (never again >.>)

I drive for a living, has it's perksand downers but you got to be alert and have skills and have future imaging of what the idiots are going to do.A lot of people have no idea how it looks from a cab.BTW I have driven in NYC and was good at it.I have driven flatbeds, vans mixers, tankers, dry bulk and delivered all kind of construction equipment. I actually had to go into NYC 3 days after 9/11 to deliver a lift to hook up cables for the hospital ship that wasnt needed. I had to jump thru a lot of checkpoints to even get close.
