Suzuka is amazing just like all of Koji Seo's work. The anime didn't follow the manga, or at least not the ending, as far as I remember because the manga didn't finish for another 2 years after the anime was already finished.

I can clearly say unfortunately there will never be more. Just deal with Kimi no Iru Machi, Suzuka is sorta mentioned at one point, at least it is in the manga.

And it's not weird for a guy to talk about this. I'm a guy who love romance manga. Kimi no Iru Machi is one of my favorite pieces of work along side Suzuka since they are set in the same place at the same time. Don't ever be ashamed of romance manga.

Suzuka was a Shounen work. What's to be embarrassed about enjoying it as a guy?

I've gotten tired of Kimi no Iru Machi, so I think I'm going to reread Suzuka. That is one of my favorite manga.

Well, Suzuka was good, but the story and characters are immature in comparison to the character and story in Kimi no Iru Machi (A Town Where You Live). As for the best romantic manga? Kimi no Iru Machi is the best SHOUNEN romantic manga I have read. As for best, it is up there but not at the top.

I like "Suzuka" as well, so much that I got all the Del Ray releases plus had to get the final volumes in Japanese in order to finish the series. Since I liked what Seo-sensei had done with "Suzuka" that I naturally I had to check out "Kimi no Iru Machi" (A town where you live). I like the fact that these two along with "Cross Over" take place in the same universe that was established in "Suzuka."

That's why there are subtle references to "Suzuka" in "Kimi no Iru Machi"

As someone else posted, Suzuka is shounen, so there is no reason why a guy should be embarrassed to like it.

I thought it was good but I just get tired of romantic mangas where the majority of it is them continuously having misconceptions due to the fact that they cannot communicate properly.

Agreed here. The Kimi no Iru Machi manga have been dragging way toooo long. However, Suzuka ended on a well note and I enjoyed it as a classic. As for the anime goes, I thought it was okay but the ending was somewhat ambiguous to me.

I was quite disappointed that the Suzuka anime didn't finish the story, but I was also majorly disappointed in the animation, or lack there of. How can you do a sports anime where you can't even animate people running without making them look stupid? (Of course, with the heat we've had recently, every time I see someone outside running for exercise I think they look stupid... But that is totally unrelated. LOL)

The Kimi Machi anime, so far, is a mixed bag. I like parts of it, but they skip way too much. It is a shame that they couldn't get enough episodes to not skip all of the minor characters stories. (Still waiting for this weeks fansub... sigh)

If you like Suzuka, I would strongly suggest reading some of Seo's other works like Half & Half, Princess Lucia, and the tankoban titled "Love Letter" that has three stories, the one-shot version of Half & Half, The title story, Love Letter, which is based on a true story of a woman during World War II and is heartbreaking, and Azusa, which is a story of mistaken identity and finding true love. They are all great stories. The Half & Half serialization is very different, including the character design of the main female character. (In the one shot she looks like Yuzuki and in the serialization she is closer to Kiyomi Asakura in terms of design.)

Just saying how disappointed I am with the fansub groups with Kimi. It's been terrible, the one or two groups who do it seem to have been put it on the back burner now, right when it started to get to the best parts of the season.

I would also like to promote the idea of reading Princess Lucia, it's ongoing and it's a bit different and the same at the same time. I love it.

I really enjoyed the Suzaka manga (the 99% of it that I read*). I liked that a romantic manga went beyond the world of high school and dealt with the relatoinship over the long term.

* What I say 99% it is because I checked out the series from the public library and somebody had taken a razor blade and cut out all of the fan service. So there were whole sections with gaping holes in them.

When did it not follow the manga? The ending was a perfect ending.. because there was no way it was going to have an ending the manga had. There was too much content before hand for it to. I would rather have it end at a spot in the manga where you know they end up together rather than a cliffhanger. Or even worse an original ending

The anime was sort of disappointing, but the manga was great. It was the manga that got me into mangas. The ending of the manga was very well done in my opinion.
