OMG....

I'm on it! I spent the past half-hour reworking the Synapsis using any information I could find, and writing reasons why people should be interested.

Then my laptop overheats and I lose all the work!

Anyhow, expect it up in 20 minutes or less!

If I were a betting man, I'd say it's with Viz Euope

Possibly, but thats entirely useless since they dont stream and wont release a dvd of it for atleast a year. Easier to yarr it which is exactly animes problem, I want to pay to support the industry but you make it so hard for me to do so

There are ways to get around regional lockouts, but you should contact Viz Europe, or whoever does have the Euro license, to let them know your concerns.

So, I watched the long PV yesterday, and I have to say, it was not what I was expecting. The art style isn't really like anything I've seen before at all. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but I'm definitely intrigued enough to check it out when it starts.

The whole school premise thing reminds me A LOT of Medaka Box, what with hyper-powered student leadership being challenged by a girl with similar powers. Anyone else kind of catching those vibes?

Looks like KLK could have some ecchiness, too... *sigh*

You say this like it's a bad thing.

After watching the preview it looks interesting but I don't really know what to make of it. The art style looks old school, like it would fit right in the 90s. Not a bad thing in my opinion.

Just personal preference, that's all. I'd rather have it just be clean, but I understand that other people like that stuff.

Medaka box was animated by Gainax.......and I never got into it, but I was not impressed. The art style, perfect characters, and overall theme didn't do it for me, altho I'm sure it 'might' be decent.

Now, the art style is quite obviously attempting to emulate Gurren Lagann a bit, and the animation style is characteristic of it's director. Very quick and dramatic with epic posing for posing's sake.

And we all know Gainax's famous promise of more Fanservice right?

Well, they're chip off the old block no? Makin that Fanservice out here. But I suspect the heroine to be far more like Yoko than "Generic fantasy-whore" She doesn't look all to pleased wearing that sexy getup, in fact rewatching that PV, she's covering herself up with a full-cloak until someone punches her to reveal that get-up, of which she's blushing profusely.

OMG, I just noticed something. Director Hiroyuki has a thing with making fun of Transformation scenes....WHILE MAKING THEM SEXY AS ALL HELL.

Finding one of Lagann transforming was rather difficult

Ready for the newest transformation porn?

Pure awesome incoming.

Here's a question: I keep hearing that Kill la Kill is going to "save anime." What's this nonsense about?

Is it the throwback animation style? Is it something else?

and, of course:

Does anime need saving in the first place, and if it does, is one show capable of doing that?

I've not actually heard that...but I can see where the nonsense is about.

The animation "style" isn't a throwback, but it's classic "Gainax" despite not being a Gainax work anymore. The animations very distinctive and stands out in a crowd. When I think back to when I got into anime, as opposed to just watching it. It was shows like FLCL, Paranoia Agent, Ranma 1/2, and The Slayers that drew me in.

They don't have too much in common, but they're all heavy on animation actually happening, with distinct and recognizable art styles. The generic Slice of life/harem/shounen/cheapy-D Anime are just....bleh to me.

When I watch Girls und Panzer, Fairy Tail, umm...I dunno, some other shows...I'm not going to think about it right now.

I don't get that same animation. I get lazy, I get low budgets. A really really good story is awesome, but what makes something good and what makes it stand out aren't the same thing.

Kill la Kill is going to stick out. I'm going to help make SURE it sticks out. It's animation, art, and story-telling are the kind of things I want to see more of. It's unique, bold, and messy.
You see that Preview? She those moments where the art breaks? Where the character models are out of line? when shit's just kinda a little out of wack?
That stuff happens. Kill la Kill will not be a perfectly manufactured perfection. It's not Clannad, with it's Geneticly engineered Kawaii moe reaching over 9000000000000.

It's action some animators pulled out of there ass and polished with love and care instead of skill and finesse. IT'S MESSY AND I LIKE IT.

That's what I think of it...it's not even out yet.

COME ON PEOPLE, START THEORIZING WHATS GONNA HAPPEN.

What I've learn from the forums, people spend more time theorizing about the actual anime than the entirety of the anime itself.

wth is with that? isn't watching more anime better...

I don't know...

SO, it premieres tomorrow...hurrah!

How long do you think it's going to Air? A 13 episodes is actually a possibility, as used to 26 episodes that I am, 13 seems highly likely.
