This debuted earlier with subs this week. It's only 6 minutes but I love most of Makoto Shinaki's work so I decided to watch it. It was definitely sweet though with the family-like atmosphere. And...the animation was glorious although I wasn't too surprised by that. For a story though, it was short and sweet just the way it ought to be.

But anyways, thoughts on this?

Great animation which is expected from Makoto Shinkai.

Mii-san's death brought the family back together.

I like both the loneliness and family moments. Also nice ending!

But it was too short (6mins) for me to get too emotionally involved. 5/10.

Makoto Shinkai does slice of life very well.
This particular story wouldn't be well served by being longer, imo. It really is the anime equivalent of a short story. Short, sweet, and to the point.
