I'm sorry to hear that. Are you still having problems with the spirit in your room? If so, I may be able to help. You don't need to tell me exactly what's going on, but I have ways to help you get rid of it. Send me a PM if you want to discuss more about it.

I don't really want to get rid of him. I think he is a sweet little boy. But, I am completely and utterly creeped out by him being there.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I get what you mean there. I understand that some people can be creeped out by harmless spirits. It's quite understandable when it's something that you don't completely understand.

I'm totally fascinated by the paranormal but I have yet to experience anything of the sort personally so I haven't been given any reason to believe they exist.

I have friends who swear up and down having undoubtedly experienced the paranormal first hand. Two of my friends used to be room mates and they say that in their first apartment they lived in together there was a middle aged man wearing a trenched coat and cowboy like hat roaming up and down the stairs. Only one of them actually saw his face and was able to describe what he looked like but they both experienced finding the upstairs bathroom faucet being turned on in the middle of the night. According to them this ghost of a man followed the one who witnessed him to the next two places he lived but since then has not shown up again.

You might think I'm weird for this but I am very fascinated by fear. There are very few things that strike true fear into me and I think that maybe if I experience the paranormal first hand I might have a taste of genuine fear for a moment. Not only that but I believe having this experience may change the way I view the world and the universe. I am always open minded when it comes to experiencing new things but being an atheist I do require first hand experience or a substantial amount of evidence to believe in such things.

Well, I'm a very...sentimental person, to say the least. I have some toys from my childhood that make noises and lights, and they almost always only go off when someone sleeps in the room, and not if they don't. There's this top of this police car thing that makes siren noises and this (Toy Story) Woody toy I have, and they would always go off, if someone slept in the room. One time someone heard a voice say, "This is my favorite toy." whilst having the Woody toy go off.

Hmmm, interesting. Sounds like the spirit of the little boy was just making his presence known to you and that he is a harmless spirit. Unless something drastic or horrible happens to someone as they die, those spirits that stay in our realm go to where they were the most happiest during their lifetimes. Seems to me that this little boy died young and was most happiest in your house, particularly in your room. Usually the spirits of younger people have not passed on because they have not grasped the whole concept of death and that they are no longer part of our mortal plane anymore. I take it that you live in an older house/building?
And I understand about being sentimental too. I have things, toys and stuff, from when I was a child as well.

It has been in my family for years, and used to be a grocery store that my grandmother worked at. So, it's definitely on the elder side.
