When I read "miracle" I understand it to mean a event which cannot possibly occur within the realm of natural laws. I can't find a documented case of an amputee regrowing a limb (i.e. one of the few medical "miracles" which could actually only be miraculous)... or a vehicle floating with no outside forces in defiance of gravity to jump over an otherwise fatal wreck... etc. So uh, no.

I believe in miracles in the traditional sense, acts of God that favor the faithful or mankind in general. I don't think any of them are truly unexplainable...the authority and power of God is explanation enough. And I don't disqualify something as a miracle just because it has a scientific explanation...sometimes the timing (or timeliness) of a completely natural occurrence can be miraculous...such as the typhoon that saved Japan from the Mongols.

How else can you explain Tim Tebow winning a playoff game?

I don't believe in miracles, acts of God, or anything of that sort..

I chose a bad example, but I was trying to say that anything is possible.

Yeah, anything is possible if you work hard for it.

And what do you mean by 'miracles'? if I die today and tomorrow I'm back to life? or if someone has cancer and I pray for that person's recovery and the next day that person has cancer no more?

I have never really experienced or seen a miracle to say "I believe in miracles".

Well, they do say that you can't believe in a miracle unless you've seen one first-hand. Unless you are always extremely pessimistic.

I think the word "miracle" itself is incredibly subjective. What is miraculous to humans, might not be miraculous to a third party observer.

For e.g., a person gets shot by a bullet in the head and lives... most people would call that a miracle, but to me, that's just the human body thriving to survive and the result of billions of years of evolution... nothing more and nothing less.

Wait...are certain people starting to evolve mechanisms to survive gunshots to the head? And how are we thriving if we're trying to kill each other by shooting at one another? Could you elaborate further, or am I reading into this too much, or am I having a bad moment?

There are no such things as miracles. There are only coincidences and inevitability's and what people do
