Oh god.. favorite.... no such thing!

I mean.. they're all, I mean every single one of them, just the most amazing characters. I did literally fell way in love with Senjougahara the second I first saw her.. the rest I love them more as the beautiful people that they are.

Shinobu has been on my desktop for quite awhile also... Loved Vamps since I was a kid, and I gotta say that I've been pissed with how some mainstream stuff like Twilight has tarnished their reputation.. However, Shinobu makes up for everything and is my favorite Vamp character ever, and that's saying a hell of a lot.

I love you... I talk about old school vamps all the time!!! I've loved them too but they are so lame these days! I like the hardcore kill people and seduce women kinda vampires. Haha

Honestly, most of the best books I've ever read were about vampires. They're just the best subject material in so many ways. It's like they make it easy for us to see a lot of things we're afraid to see about ourselves. I love the badass insanely powerful and intelligent ones, but even more I love those types of characters that are tied to someone they love that's in the light.. and they end up working as a double agent kinda thing, living in the midst of hell, a dog-eat-dog world, and only resisting it's temptations and avoid giving themselves over to it completely because of the good their trying to do for the one they lover. There's just so many different types I like though. I'm super into the occult, mystery schools, and such things and vamps fit in that world perfectly. To be fully honest, I've ran into some people and other beings that are very vampire like in my studies also.. doing a lot of hardcore spiritual practices attracts all kinds of scary things wanting to vamp off the energy you make... I've got some stories that would fit right in a good vamp book heh. I certainly have a lot of vamp like traits that I was born with and I picked up along the way from the exposure also. Much of the inspiration has helped me out, the way that their so cool collected and intelligent. The way that they have this deep patience or knowings from all the years they've lived. The way that just by simply being what they are, every average person just can't help but fall in love with them. To me it's like most of them seem like they wear their soul on their sleeve or something, like it radiates out of them more in some ways, even though they might have lost their soul. Always bringing up deep thoughts for me heh. I certainly have had a lot of troubles from the influence they've had on me also though, or maybe they just helped me be more open with my demons, and face them straight on rather than unconsciously trying to forget they ever existed like most people do. The symbolize so much strength to me.

Bakemonogatari fits right up there as one of the best uses of Vampires in story telling. The introspective dialog is so profound. I've learned a lot about myself and how to deal with my demons from this show. It was also the show that got me into anime in the first place also, so I've much to thank it for there considering all the wonderful experiences I've had exploring the anime world.

Ok, goina end this love confession for now before I lose hours to it lol.

God, the donuts! Now your going to get me going again... I'm so fascinated with the little hints about how he somehow has an influence over her appearance, as that's some unconscious desire that shapes her look and attitude in some way, even though she's still very much her own person, and becoming more so the longer she's had time to recover from their "incident". I'm really still quite clueless to what it's all about since I've only watched all the anime through once and haven't read anything else about it. I'm wanting to go back and read all the stop screen stuff just to get a better idea. But man, I can't help but want whatever happened to Araragi to happen to me. Having a donut loving vamp friend/pet/ally(whatever she is) would be a dream come true.

Whatever the full story is, it must be amazing, and I can't wait to find out more. Gets my imagination running wild with all kinds of creative brilliance. Ahhh that gloriously inspiring Shinobu.

I must say, Kaiki may pale in comparison to the rest of the character, but as a villain, I think he's perfect. His philosophy, or lack thereof, and the fact that it's all to fuel his passion for money and indifference, is amazing. He's not out to change the world or maliciously hurt people, he's just good at it and needs the money.

Ahhhh speaking of the devil...or maybe I should say, how synchronistic? Whichever you prefer. There's a new Vamp anime that just popped up today! The first ep of the fall season no less? REALLY? How special.

I'm juxtaposed between falling too pieces in hilarity and a real deep interest in the story. I'm laughing at cliche, surprisingly, rather than condemning them for belittling Vamps. So much fast paced comedy that has just as much intensity and intrigue. It's just so very very Vampire. I'm reaaaally enjoying it so far despite the details that bother me. There's just so much promise here in the veins that I enjoy(lol pun not intended, more synchronicity, meant that this show is catering to what I love about vamps) that I feel that I'll start enjoying the details that this anime shares with others that put me off before. Now that's what I call promising. If a show can teach me to appreciate something that I don't, then it's doing a good job. I know that they're probably just catering to a wider variety of audience, but the way they incorporate so many things into one whole that I appreciate, and likely many others will appreciate, is really something.

Oh, the name of it is Diabolik Lovers if you haven't seen it yet yourselves. Obviously I'm recommending it

I haven't seen one character in this series who I don't either like, or love to hate (and the latter category contains only two or three characters: mostly the Nisemonogatari villains). That said, I like some characters better than others. If I were to pick a 'top five', it'd be:

5: Suruga Kanbaru. Simply because everything that comes out of her mouth is hilarious.
4: Mayoi Hachikuji. For her age, she's extremely insightful, but still acts like a kid, which is cute.
3: Hitagi Senjougahara. Because Hitagi Senjougahara.
2: Karen Araragi. She oozes flair and guts. Her enthusiasm is addictive.

First place? Koyomi Araragi himself. He's one of the most relatable protagonists I've encountered in anything. He's got no awesome powers except for his impossible resiliency, so how does he solve problems? He takes the beatings that people want to dish out, and talks them down in the process: he's a mediator and a peacemaker. Add to that his eternal tsukkomi routine for pretty much every other character, his references and fourth-wall-breaking comments, and his penchant for doing really dumb s*** for the sake of comedy, and you've got pretty much the most badass comedian ever.

I think the only character in this series I'm not a HUGE fan of, would be Yozuru. But that being said, I dont dislike her in anyway.

Speaking of which, I am very interested in learning more about Yozuru. I thought she was pretty badass in Nisemono. She wasn't your typical villain. In fact, she wasn't a villain. It's just that her intentions (which is fundamentally good) targeted something that was not necessarily bad.

There's actually a lot that can be said and analyzed with the incident that happens during Tsukuhi Phoenix.

Remember the theory of evil-Araragi: they brushed on it a little

But, yes how do you know when you cross the line but for some people there is no line to cross. And also what people believe to be right might not be for next person. Yozuru was just going to do what she thought was right which was eliminate what she called a imposter (Tsukihi). She snack in while the mom was pregnant and was born which was false not real a lie. But to Tsukihi-chan is not aware of any of this, so how is she evil she the one and only Tsukihi-chan although she has wielded a knife before and did go to the store for a awl. I’m going to get platnium mad (laugh).

If you think about it you realize that somebody was replaced that being the unborn baby. In Yozuru view that was not acceptable well at least until she saw Araragi. What do you think her belief change or she just averted her eyes this one time.

And also I what to know more about her call it curiosity. i still have more to say...ahh

I'm most interested in learning more about Gaen, and Oshino Ougi, although the latter seems to be the closest thing this series has to a boring character.

Your gonna be surprised with Ougi then, lol

Gaen gets a little more screen time in Oni, coming up after Otori. A lot of the gaps that were left in Neko Black will be filled also.
