Ehm, how to say it.

I often like to have my legs folded in a triangle or sitting on a chair most of the time. I dislike reading in a sleeping position quite a lot.

Oh also, reading on the toilet while taking a poo poo is pretty cool too.

All I require is quietness, though it is nice to have something to rest your back on.

For me:

-Dark and quiet - I'm one of those 'midnight oil-burner' types when it comes to reading, so I always read at night. I find it to be much more relaxing.

-Possibly something to eat? - I avoid eating while reading most of the time as I don't like getting crumbs all over my bed, but there is the rare occasion where I will want something to eat while I read.

And last, but certainly not least,

-A well-loved book. A real book, too, not some crappy screen.

This is something that will probably start to drive my roommate insane because I cant read without background noise. We're both students and share a room, so when I study I will play music. He's the kind of person who needs quiet.

i usually can compromise with background noise, as i have a noise cancelling headphone, i just put it on and it cancels out any talking or noise

Quiet room or outside by myself. Classical music.

My favorite place on the weekends: Constitution Island, across my campus West Point - have to take a ferry to get there; There's a cliff there and I sit on the edge of it to oversee the Hudson River, enjoying the breeze and quietness of nature.

View from there:
Basically overlooking the Hudson, very peaceful and awesome reading environment imo.

Depends on the book.

Thick, Big, Textbooks - requires a bookstand, a desk with a specific height proportion so you don't have to flex our necks too much, a comfy chair with the right height so my feet are flat on the ground, eyeglasses, adequate lighting, classical music on headset to block out background noise

Novels/Manga- lying down on a bed, wrapped in a comforter like a caterpillar, the right amount of sunlight streaming in from my window, silence

Newspapers and other Periodicals- a couch, a coffee table, and adequate lighting

It's not that weird. Just view it as people playing pokemon on their cellphone when they take a dump, while I'm reading a book.

anywhere except the crapper and outside. No talking or television, I get lost when someone talks...

I can listen to music and read, preferred position: sitting.
